...everything was fine through the late 90s, but then fame clearly went straight to his head. He developed this massive ego, acting like some ultimate jazz authority, which led him to start trashing anyone and everyone in his path. Unfortunately, most of the big shots in the media and the major record labels have totally swallowed that narrative, making it look like M. Dedić is the only person left in America who actually knows anything about jazz—which is obviously a lie! MD is being dishonest (though he isn’t the only one) when he claims he graduated from the jazz academy in Vienna—which doesn't even guarantee you're a talented player anyway—when in reality, he only finished two years there...
