As far as I know, "Stay the Night" is about him and his new girlfriend... or at least that's what I heard somewhere. Correct me if I'm wrong.

And his voice... man, I've never had an issue with it. I don't really get why people find his tone so irritating...🤷

Honestly, I’ve always found the whole "I can't live without you" line to be incredibly cheesy. It’s pure melodrama. And when you pair those lyrics with his voice... it just doesn't work for me.

If you can't find the soul to relax and appreciate the peace and beauty in his voice, that's on you. To feel the beauty in the lyrics... that love... like in that song Goodbye My Lover. But then again, everyone has their own music for their soul... 😉

And who are you to call me (and others) soulless just because I don't care for his wailing? Do you feel more enlightened or superior now? I honestly never get why people resort to that "if you don't like it, don't listen" argument. This is a forum; people are naturally going to post negative things about stuff you happen to love. Just accept it and life will be easier.

Back to the topic... regarding the lyrics, there's a fine line between being romantic and being pathetic, and he definitely crossed it.
