I mean, why was Kovalainen even trying to defend himself? 😕

Go tell that to the fans of Williams Racing, Renault, Scuderia Toro Rosso, Force India, HRT, Lotus F1 Team, Virgin Racing, Mercedes-AMG Petronas, or Sauber. 🤣
That car is sitting pretty at 3rd for power, sometimes even better. If they can't capitalize on an opportunity, that's not anyone's fault. Their performance in Monaco is just as pathetic as Red Bull's showing in Turkey. ☕
By your logic, Red Bull Racing is a total disaster. 😉
So Massa is bad, and Alonso is some kid being forced into mistakes that are totally out of character for him? That has nothing to do with the car.
One bad race on a track that clearly doesn't suit them doesn't mean the car is trash. Just like how this track clearly suits Williams Racing doesn't mean their car is suddenly a beast that's somehow better than Mercedes-AMG Petronas or Force India. 😉

Most of what was posted were straight facts, which Alonso fans stubbornly deny, claiming it’s all got nothing to do with anything and is just the result of his "super driving."
Look, Alonso is an incredible driver, no doubt about it. But for some reason, he just seems to be falling apart at the seams or is struggling big time at Ferrari. Honestly, I can't wrap my head around these mediocre results and inexplicable mistakes when the car clearly has the potential. 🤷
Personally, I think the Ferrari looks way better than the Renault (maybe I'm biased), yet Robert Kubica is barely trailing behind Alonso. It gives me this nagging feeling that if Lojzek had stayed at Renault, he’d probably have more points right now and be in a better spot than he is at Ferrari. So, the million-dollar question remains: who's actually to blame? Is it Alonso or is it Ferrari? 🤷

Joshua Newman2 said:You noticed it too—the official timing pages are showing the exact same numbers. It looks like they’ve gone ahead and applied the Bjesomar standard. 😁
Christian Williams61, let’s be realistic here. There isn't actually that much heat on Fernando Alonso—aside from the usual whining from people who can't handle his attitude, though I have very little doubt regarding his raw driving talent. The real targets of scrutiny are Jenson Button, because people constantly question if he actually has the skill, and Sebastian Vettel, because they argue whether he even has the ability to turn that talent into results.
Maria Nelson2 said:I don't recall ever saying Alonso was a bad driver—you're putting words in my mouth again, even though I've been pretty clear about his actual skills 🤷 by the way... I said he was being shady, not that he couldn't drive ☕
stormybadger8 said:First, you've got Fernando Alonso. Second, it’s Sebastian Vettel. Third, Jenson Button. Fourth, Mark Webber. Fifth, Lewis Hamilton. And sixth? Grandfather is lost in the Forest. 😬🤣
What's with you bringing up Alonso every single race? What's your deal?🤷
Maria Nelson2 said:The only thing that actually improved after his stint with McLaren was the team's budget..👎
Between him and de la Rosa, you've basically got two clueless guys caught up in that old Mosley era chaos, and that’s where the mess starts...
But there's a more significant point this time around; without any extra budget compared to the competition, without those old national biases, and with the track officials finally doing their jobs somewhat decently, Ferrari is playing on a level playing field just like everyone else, and from what I can see, they aren't exactly thriving under those circumstances.☕ It makes you wonder, because last time they had some proprietary Ferrari invention that everyone else ended up copying—you know, first it was the F-duct, then the double diffuser, then that Red Bull Racing exhaust system, and the last thing from Ferrari was that banned wheel thing...🤷

Joshua Newman2 said:Alonso is sitting near the top of the championship standings, so calling his season a failure is a bit of a reach. However, when you consider the miracles he pulled off in that half-broken Renault (let's not even mention that win in 😁), it's obvious he isn't seeing those same opportunities in the Ferrari. Personally, I think he's one of the elite drivers on the grid alongside Lewis Hamilton and Robert Kubica (and yes, I’ll admit I have a soft spot for the latter), but I also can't help thinking that if he were still riding with the form he showed back in, say, 2005 or 2006, his current points tally would look much more impressive.
