Never heard of that movie—I know this one from around here, though, and it's honestly a classic:

I’m not even complaining—I actually love a good guessing game.

I think I called it—everyone's talking about how she sings about that one D.

I was about twelve back then. Personally, everyone feels like a total kid until they hit 25—especially this whole Gen Z crowd. 😁

We used to have this album on cassette in the car—my mom had it back in the late 90s—and honestly, as a little kid, it totally drove me crazy. I also had this calico cat, kind of like the one from those old commercials, who I’d let sit in my lap while we were driving. She always had such a hard time settling down, but she’d calm right down whenever this song came on. Best part was her name was Suzi, though not because of this track.

This one feels like a total love song—honestly, a huge win for David Byrne.😁

Dad used to send postcards from all over the States. I'm pretty sure there's one from Baltimore in here somewhere—I just can't track it down. I catch myself wondering what it was like wandering through American streets back in the 90s. Then, in '95, he brought home this album:

People talk about New York City as a writer all the time—but for me, he’ll always just be our guy—a kid from the coast who grew up dreaming of the ocean while stuck on city concrete. He was a massive poet, one of those last great legends we produced around here, the kind of soul you feel wasn't meant for a long life. Honestly, this song is probably the most beautiful thing The Beatles ever did.

Nina is the best, but for me, Buckley hits hard too, while Beck and Imelda are okay—not quite there, but still solid. Buckley managed to channel that same raw emotion as Nina did, you know? Like, Imelada is good, but I just don't feel that same connection with her.

I think Buckley's stuff is my favorite.

Killer album, but man, it's heavy—feels like there's a weight on my chest whenever I put it on.
