Quote:

"Picture this scenario: some radical feminist walks into a marriage—let's say she marries a veteran or even your own son—and then uses this Convention to kick him right out of his family estate, leaving him to foot the bill for her and the child. From there, she could just bring home another partner, while he’s stuck paying for everything as these lesbian communists tear his relationship with his kid apart."

ironpanther5 said:So, is this whole Constantinople mess and the leftist globalist meltdown actually any different from Markić's marriage initiative? It feels just as pointless because we already have everything we need covered under existing laws, it’s going to be an absolute money pit to implement, and honestly, it’s kind of embarrassing—I mean, thanks to Markić we're stuck with idiocy baked into our Constitution, and now we'll probably have some supranational body hovering over us like a vulture.

It’s just damn near impossible to stay rational when you're either a religious zealot or a hardcore leftist.

For heaven's sake, there are already international treaties... Take the Geneva Convention, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and so on. Now we are just adding one more convention to the pile.

It's no big deal.
Unless, of course, you find it shameful that America might follow some silly convention that prevents men from beating women.

It really depends on which lens you’re looking through.

If you look at it from the right wing, it's seen as a sneaky attempt by foreign power centers to force a specific gender ideology onto America—essentially allowing men in dresses to walk into women's restrooms and commit assaults. They don't explicitly state the endgame, but according to them, the goal is to unravel the very fabric of American society, whose core is built upon family and the Church.

However, if you aren't looking from the right, it's simply a collection of commitments that signatories agree to follow in order to reduce violence against women.

The choice of which version to believe is entirely up to you.

Those tracks probably looked worn out just because they hadn't been sanded down yet.
And if they had actually been installed properly, they wouldn't have looked that way without the sanding process.

I feel a bit uneasy about this, but I find myself having to defend the MTA.
Honestly, I have no idea what you all are talking about.
These new streetcars are a massive step up from the old fleet—they’re more comfortable and, for goodness' sake, they break down way less often.
My one major gripe? That ridiculous seat layout.

I'm old enough to remember what transit was like back in the eighties and nineties. Back then, you'd hit a delay at every single corner because of some broken-down car; today, that almost never happens.
As for these claims about cars jumping the tracks, I just don't get it. We used to have derailments constantly. At the intersection of Vodnikov, Sava, and Jukićev, it felt like it happened once a month. Now? It simply doesn't happen anymore.

Then there's the noise. These newer models are significantly quieter than the old ones. The very first series they rolled out were a bit louder, but the current ones aren't.

Either my personal experience is completely off base, or we aren't even talking about the same streetcars.

Sure, people are fools, and they tend to drift toward wherever life feels a little less heavy—even if things aren't actually any better there.
I know plenty of folks who packed up for Ireland, Germany, or Norway, and none of them have even looked back. Honestly, why would they? It doesn't even cross their minds to come home.

We used to have our reliable guys from the Midwest... now we really need to scout for some fresh talent.

Maybe some women from Eastern Europe will step up.

I honestly can't wrap my head around where they're coming from... where is the absolute peak of poverty and desperation located these days?🤔

In Mexico.

Like, do they actually expect us to just flip a switch? It’s almost funny watching them scratch their heads over birth rates while ignoring everything else. 🙏

If American women aren't interested in taking these jobs, then Mexican women will step up to fill the void. 🙂

Justin James10 said:Honestly, that seems like a pretty realistic scenario. Though, for the moment, it looks like both us and the immigrants are being bypassed by the larger trends.😁

Who told you, Peter Thompson4, that cleaners in Germany are starving? Sure, the wages are low, but that's just relative to the American standard—and that’s actually a good thing! It's all about perspective, isn't it? For example, a government minister in certain parts of the world might earn less than $1,000 a month, yet in those countries, that's considered a very solid salary.

I think that scenario is completely unrealistic.
Why on earth would women from Mexico bother coming to a small town in rural Maine to work in a factory when they have the entire United States as an option?

If we’re just talking about minor particles, then who can blame them? Should they have studied harder?
It’s happening all across America, affecting every profession imaginable. Software engineers, economists, philosophers, sysadmins, even cashiers... Everyone is being systematically undercut.

But does anyone actually care? The mindset is always the same: just bring in workers from Mexico to do the job, while Americans head off to Germany where they won't be underpaid.

What really gets under my skin is that we're talking about massive corporations pulling in astronomical profits... yet when it comes to fair wages, they couldn't care less. They'll happily let the government facilitate importing labor from Mexico instead.
Offside Chat Archives (2014-2021) in Soccer ·
Fine, let’s go with that then.
So, we'll have American women heading over to Germany to work, while over in places like San Antonio, it'll be Mexican women doing the cleaning.

Then let those middle managers clean up the mess.
Offside Chat Archives (2014-2021) in Soccer ·
Give me a break. If there aren't any cleaners or general junior staff available to work for $1333, then frankly, he should be paying a hell of a lot more.
That’s what they call the "labor market" that employers love to lecture us about.
Of course, they suddenly lose all interest in the labor market when it comes time to hand out pink slips or slash salaries. But it works both ways. When it’s time for a raise, they start whining and begging the government for cheap foreign labor.
And I wouldn't even mention the earnings, but these executives pull in hundreds of millions of dollars, yet they find it so difficult to pay people fairly.
As for the politicians? To hell with their constant complaining about how America is dying or how the youth are leaving. They're leaving because there aren't any decent-paying jobs and because our government is a complete mess compared to anything else in the West. And every single day, things just get worse.
Offside Chat Archives (2014-2021) in Soccer ·
Sure, they complain about high taxes and how impossible it is to pay a decent wage, yet at the end of the season, some major hotel chain reports a profit of over $100 million.
But apparently, giving them anything more than $1333 minimum wage is just too much to ask.
And then? They have the nerve to keep whining about a labor shortage.
Offside Chat Archives (2014-2021) in Soccer ·
Of course, the numbers look great on paper when you start padding the consumer spending metrics. If a CEO manages to justify a $10,000 monthly salary for himself, $0.00 he does it by cutting costs elsewhere—like firing 2,500 cashiers at a retail chain.
And presto, the GDP shows a statistical uptick. (By the way, TV subscription rates climb too, since they're bundled into those same consumer spending stats).

As for this supposed labor shortage... The workers exist. The real issue is that nobody wants to move to a place like Miami to work for three months just to earn a pittance $1333.
There are plenty of jobs available; there just aren't any jobs that actually pay a living wage.

Where exactly did that homeowner get the funds for an apartment like this?
Why is the tenant being given so much protection?

The documentation doesn't specify in the nouns.

Fine. What exactly did I do to deserve this?
Was I not worth a simple acknowledgment?
Have I ever been anything less than respectful toward you?
Did I ever direct a single harsh word toward you or your family?

By what measure have I earned this silence?

🙂🙂🙂

P.S.
If you can't even remember who I am, then I suppose it doesn't really matter.🙂
