Just wanted to share a quick win—I finally pulled it off! I followed the exact method urbanotter4 laid out... thanks so much!!
Everything is working perfectly 5

Plus, today's floppies are absolute garbage! 😠 I bought a pack of 20 about two years ago and half of them are dead on arrival. Meanwhile, I've still got some old ones from back in my 386 days that actually work. 🙏
Hey, thanks for that explanation...
I'm actually running Scandisk on my laptop drive right now, just checking to see if everything's alright...
I'll give it a shot tomorrow since the floppy drive on this PC is busted...
Thanks again,🙏
I've got this old 14" laptop lying around. It’s running a P133 processor with 24 MB of RAM... basically a little piece of junk, but honestly, it gets the job done for what I need to do.
So, quick question: how can I install Windows 95, or maybe Windows 98, without using a startup disk? Here's the catch—on this laptop, I can only use either the floppy drive OR the CD-ROM at one time. Only one device works at once.
To get into DOS, I need the floppy for the startup disk, but then how am I supposed to actually run the installation if I can't have the CD-ROM plugged in too? You know? I tried swapping them out while in DOS—pulling the floppy and popping in the CD-ROM—but nothing happens.
When I first got the laptop, it had Windows 98 on it, but my uncle told me it wouldn't boot because the hard drive might be corrupted. I went ahead and formatted the drive (FAT16), so now I want to try installing Windows 95 again, but I'm stuck. It's possible the drive really is damaged, though, because when he gave it to me, I'd turn it on and it would just drop straight into DOS. It recognizes Windows is on the HDD, but it just won't launch.
Lately, life just feels heavy. There are days when I honestly struggle to find any motivation. It’s not like my life is a disaster—my parents are awesome and super supportive, and I actually just started a new job three weeks ago... I'm 19.
I've got a couple of things weighing on me. First off, I had my first sexual experience with a girl, and it didn't exactly go smoothly. Like, during all the touching and everything, I had an erection, but once it was time to actually get down to business, it just vanished. I don't know, maybe I was just too stressed out or something... The second time went better, I had one, but it didn't last very long... it was more like a "halfway" encounter. My question is, why did this happen? Now I'm just terrified it'll happen again next time.
The second thing has been bothering me for a while now and I really can't figure out what's wrong... Basically, whenever I need to pee and there's someone nearby, I just can't do it. I don't care if it's friends or a complete stranger, I just freeze up. Because of that, I often have to leave bars or clubs just to find a spot to go... If the restroom is crowded, I'm stuck. The only time it's fine is if I've had a few drinks, 🙂 then I don't have any issues at all. These things really mess with my head and I have no clue what the root cause is.
PLEASE, can anyone help me out and try to explain why this is happening???
I don't smoke, and I only drink on weekends when I'm hanging out with my crew. I'm pretty outgoing, I'm not shy about anything, and I can talk to just about anyone... I'm definitely not a closed-off person.
