I was browsing some shops online earlier and noticed yet another major team just dropped a new kit that looks like it was pulled straight out of a 1985 yearbook. It feels like every single season now, the big clubs just dig into the archives to find some old aesthetic and slap it on a modern jersey.
Don't get me wrong, I love the classics as much as the next guy. There’s a certain nostalgia that hits when you see those old-school patterns or specific color palettes from decades ago. But at some point, does it just become a lack of creativity? It feels like we’re stuck in a loop where "new" just means "remix of something from thirty years ago."
I miss the eras where teams actually tried to push the envelope with weird colors or experimental designs that didn't rely on a nostalgia trip to sell jerseys. Now, it feels like the marketing departments are just playing it safe by banking on our childhood memories.
Do you guys think we're overdoing the retro look, or is there just no replacing the classics?

So, I just read this "free article" claiming the NFL Ultras are heading out to stay in apartments to cheer on San Diego against that MLS Club... honestly, where is the logic? Who actually writes stuff like that?
