I was looking at some upcoming schedules recently and it feels like every single professional sports team has pivoted toward these heavy-handed "event" nights. It used to be that you just showed up, grabbed a beer, and watched the game. Now, it feels like you're paying a premium to participate in some manufactured social media moment or a specific gimmick.

Don't get me wrong, I love a good atmosphere, and seeing a crowd go all-out for a specific vibe can be pretty infectious. But lately, it feels like the teams are leaning harder into the "experience" aspect to make up for everything else. It’s starting to feel a bit like a circus sometimes—instead of focusing on the actual grit of the sport, the marketing departments are obsessed with making sure there's a "punchline" or a photo op every Tuesday night.

Does anyone else feel like these gimmicks are starting to overshadow the actual game, or am I just being a grumpy old-timer who misses the simplicity of just watching the sport?
I just got my semen analysis results back, and the diagnosis listed is TERATOZOOSPERMIA.

Would any kind soul be willing to explain what that actually means in plain English?

Thanks in advance!
