As for the rest... man, I really miss the era of Mika Hakkinen, Michael Schumacher, Eddie Irvine, Heinz-Harald Frentzen, and Jacques Villeneuve... today's drivers are just soft. This isn't a real man's sport anymore. 🙄

Mansell, Nelson Piquet, and Alain Prost☕

Maybe I'm just speaking from memory here—I really should dig through some threads and check your old posts to be more thorough, but I'm going off what I remember—but you don't criticize the Venezuelan nearly as much as you tear into the Frenchman (who isn't even that young for a NASCAR restart). Roman is fast, just overly optimistic. Reminds me of how Takumi Sato used to be. But despite having a relatively short NASCAR career, that Japanese man matured into one of the better Japanese drivers ever on the NASCAR grid. Why couldn't Roman become a lot better and more mature after a full season? He won't be the next Alain Prost, but if he can hold his own like Didier Pironi or Jean Alesi, then staying in NASCAR is fine by me.

No way... I wasn't criticizing that wrecking machine Pastor at all.🤣

As for Graham, he seemed like a really nice guy when he first arrived. But the guy is dangerous to everyone around him, and worst of all, he completely ruins the championship with his driving style.

Are you actually serious? 🤔

I've been watching NASCAR forever and I can't remember a single rookie causing this much damage.

They aren't all the same. Saying they just go through the motions during celebrations is nonsense. Just like trying to lump Button into that group. He’s probably the only guy on the grid who actually talks to everyone and gives them a genuine congrats...

Same goes for anyone defending Kimi—his front wing needs to clear the center of Fernando's rear tire before Fernando is actually obligated to give him room to pass.
What Fernando messed up was failing to fully close the door on Kimi; he left just enough space the length of the car, basically hoping Kimi wouldn't go for the move...

It’s the exact same deal as what happened with Grožjan and Lujis at Spa... you can't just shove someone onto the grass during the start. Luckily, nobody got hurt here, though it was a close call where Alonso almost veered too deep into the track and nearly got caught in the chaos.

Of course you don't.

I just finished watching the replay of the start.
Kimi Raikkonen wasn't ahead of Fernando Alonso for even a second—not even by an inch. In all that chaos, Kimi Raikkonen clipped Alonso's rear tire with his front wing.

Total carelessness on Kimi Raikkonen's part. Clearly just a bad read.

Stop bolding irrelevant details... the point is that the wing hit the tire because Alonso pushed Kimi Raikkonen onto the grass. Stop lying to everyone here. ☕

The Sky commentator explained it perfectly (though I'm not sure what there is to explain)... it's the same mess as when Groždan pushed Lewis Hamilton at Spa-Francorchamps.

Did they wipe their tears just in time to see Alonso flinch when Kim stepped up? 🍿

Whatever, better late than never (unlike some people on this forum). 😁

Someone needs to send Groždan on vacation until the end of the season... It’d be nice if the other guys could actually race normally instead of constantly worrying about getting blasted by a rocket from behind ☕

That contact where Alonso lost his rear left tire and Raikkonen lost a chunk of his front wing.

I'll say it again:

The drivers' positions at the moment of impact are obvious in this shot.

Draw your own conclusions from the screenshot.

Sure, grab one single frame and mock people... luckily, that dust cloud is in the shot too. ☕
