It feels like every time we get a brief moment of calm, something massive happens to shatter it. I'm starting to worry that we're just living in a constant loop of escalation now. Is anyone else feeling this sense of permanent instability?

Personally, I wouldn't bother buying anything at all. I’d rather just do something meaningful for them—maybe plan an outing or just spend some quality time together. Buying stuff doesn't really bring much happiness, at least not for me.
