Maria Reed44 said:Is anyone else on Saxenda 3.0? How’s your appetite holding up? I’m starting the 3.0 dose tomorrow, and honestly, I’m a little nervous that the hunger won't go away. So far, I've lost 5 kg in 7 weeks, but hey, progress is progress!

Like my colleague said, I'd much rather be 5 pounds lighter than 5 pounds heavier! Have you dealt with any side effects so far? Are you worried about the dose increase itself, or just the fear of staying hungry?

Are you watching what you eat? If you're hitting the sweets too hard, your insulin might spike, which makes it way harder for the medication to do its job... maybe try to keep an eye on that. For me, a big green salad is a lifesaver—it fills me up so I naturally eat less of everything else. Tomatoes help too; I make a lot of tomato sandwiches to stay full. 🙂

Can everyone list out all the side effects you're experiencing? It would be great to have them all visible in one spot.

Lisa Perez37 said:She’s dealing with insulin resistance. If I remember correctly, she started at 96 and I think she's down to about 77 or 78 now. She eats pretty much everything, just in tiny, tiny amounts. At first, the weight loss was slow—which was super discouraging since she was dealing with a ton of side effects—but then things really started moving after about three months.

Could that be related to the dosage? She spent the first month on 0.25, then a month on 0.5, and then bumped up to 1.

This is such a great example. It’s almost certainly a dosage thing!

Has anyone here used Metformin before and can compare that experience to using the "weekly shots"?

@Isabel, is it possible you hit hypoglycemia if you haven't eaten anything but just loaded up on those shots? You're only about 20 pounds overweight, so why the insulin resistance?
I always had this idea that everyone dealing with IR was significantly overweight. 🙂 Have you carried more weight in the past?

Could someone break down the actual difference between Ozempic, Victoza, and Saxenda? Is it basically the same medication just under different brand names from different manufacturers?

I decided to be smart about this and head to an endocrinologist to talk things through. Honestly, I’m leaning more toward Metformin as a step-by-step approach 🙂 or maybe that's just my anxiety talking!

I honestly have no clue how they prepare themselves or find the strength to stick it out—maybe someone here can weigh in. I was talking to a guy recently who said he does it strictly for religious reasons and hasn't even considered quitting. It’s like he’s genuinely terrified of divine retribution or something.

Personally, I don't have that kind of grit when it comes to stuff like this. I don't think I could endure it because I just don't see the point, and without a clear "why," I simply wouldn't have the motivation.

Alexander Morgan33 said:If I'm following you correctly, it works by suppressing your appetite while you're actually taking it. So once you stop, does the hunger come rushing back?

Most likely, yeah. But by the time you're off it, you've hopefully overhauled your lifestyle and built up some solid, healthy habits—and honestly, that’s the real victory right there!

I also suspect it helps reset your hormonal balance. Most people struggling with obesity are dealing with messed-up metabolic hormones like insulin, ghrelin, leptin, and so on.

It’s really not as simple as everyone thinks.

Are there any mandatory tests you need to pass first, or is this medication just handed out to anyone who asks?

When I first read Richard Booth35's post about how his godfather hadn't eaten or drunk anything, I honestly thought, "Wow, people really will post any nonsense online and expect others to take it seriously."

And then it turns out he actually *was* drinking something?!?

I just don't see the logic in putting your body through extreme dehydration. It’s definitely not doing any favors for your kidneys, your circulatory system, or your heart. If your blood gets too thick because you're dehydrated, you're looking at a real risk of a heart attack or a stroke—which isn't exactly a health hack.

What would actually be beneficial is if we all just cut back on the junk and improved our food quality daily. Let's face it, most of us overindulge way too much.

Honestly, I find posts like these from the last few days to be pretty useless.

Hey everyone! Once Easter is wrapped up, I’m planning to head in and ask about that medication, so count me in! I’m starting a more moderate diet this Monday because, let's be honest, I am a total sucker for sweets.

My main question is about the actual injection—is it painful or awkward? I have a bit of a phobia when it comes to needles, so I'm wondering if I can handle doing it myself. Also, is it just once a week, or is it a daily thing?
