Maria Reed44 said:I started today! My plan is to stick with this dose for about a week plus a few extra days. How does it actually feel—do you find yourself getting full super fast? And did you struggle to stay on a lower dose? I’ve honestly realized that sticking to my 3.0 isn't doing much for me after two months; I'm just spinning my wheels around one pound up or down, and it feels like I'm just throwing money down the drain.
So, I'm giving this a shot now.

Nicole Davis66 said:It's about $145 for me, and honestly, the biggest headache is just trying to find it in stock anywhere! As for working out or hitting the gym, I think people suggest it so you can keep your muscle tone up and prevent that "loose skin" look, since losing weight so fast can be such a huge shock to the system.
I'm not really a big sports person myself, but I bike to work every single day and try to walk everywhere I possibly can. How many more pounds are you aiming to drop?
Elizabeth Clark43 said:So here's my little update! I kicked off my Saxenda journey at the end of February, and now I’ve been cruising on the full 3 mg dose for about a month. And oh my gosh, the results—I am down 14 pounds! It totally caught me off guard since I haven't even stepped on a scale outside of my doctor's office. Honestly, I handled the transition pretty well; once I got past those few days of nasty nausea and stomach issues while bumping up the dosage, I barely feel any side effects at all anymore.
I’m not really hitting the gym or anything because life is just so hectic right now, but I’ve been super mindful about what I eat—basically sticking to smaller portions and cutting out the bread and sweets entirely.
To be honest, it feels like the Saxenda isn't doing *all* the heavy lifting for me; I don't feel completely stuffed after eating, so I definitely still have to use a bit of willpower. But hey, it's still way better than trying to do this on my own!
The only real headache is the price tag, which is honestly soul-crushing once you're on the full dose. Since I need a new box every 18 days and they cost about $140, it adds up fast.
I’d love to switch over to Ozempic just to save some cash, but if that doesn't work out, I guess I'll just keep grinding. At least I'm saving money on groceries!
Good luck, everyone!
Amy Kim25 said:I don't have an appointment with my endocrinologist until mid-July :-( but I am a fighter! I’ll get my hands on those meds eventually!
Reading about people struggling to stay under 1,000 or 1,300 calories feels like watching a movie—it's totally unreal to me because I can smash through that amount without even breaking a sweat, and then I'm basically ready for seconds! Honestly, if my doctor plays hardball and refuses to prescribe the medication, I’m just going to head over to a private clinic that offered me a prescription without any hoops to jump through (if anyone wants the info, let me know).
Nicole Davis66 said:How long did it take for the weight to actually start dropping for you guys? I was at 177 lbs on Monday and now I'm down to 171. Is that just water weight or what? My endocrinologist told me not to expect the scale to budge much at first and that I'd see more progress in how my clothes fit, so this sudden drop feels totally random...
Joshua Collins said:Hey everyone,
Just wanted to jump in and let you all know I'm starting Victoza tomorrow... and man, I've got quite a journey ahead of me to drop these pounds. Between dealing with PCOS and just getting diagnosed with early-stage Hashimoto's, my endocrinologist basically told me we have to tackle the weight issue first before we can get everything else under control.
I'll definitely be posting updates here as I go... thanks so much for all the great advice and stories you guys share!
Amy Kim25 said:What do you think is the secret sauce for making this work?
I’m honestly pretty terrified of the nausea, because whenever I feel sick, my go-to move is to eat twice as much just to try and "settle" my stomach, so if these shots trigger that cycle, it’s a total dealbreaker for me. I'm actually thinking about starting out with Metformin tablets first and then maybe transitioning to the injections down the road, so I’ll definitely run that by my doctor and see what they have to say about it.
By the way, I read somewhere that feeling nauseous actually means you ate way too much during a meal and that's why it happens. hey George, do you think there's any truth to that?
From what I've dealt with personally, nausea usually hits me when I eat something super greasy, but that's mostly because of my gallbladder issues.
Amy Kim25 said:Lately, I feel like I can't stop eating! Like, seriously, I am hungry ALL the time. It doesn't matter what I grab or how much I shovel down, the hunger just comes right back immediately. I have no clue why my body just decides to go into overdrive like this sometimes.
Kimberly Ward said:It’s definitely best to check with your endocrinologist first, but since you took a three-week break, you should probably restart at 0.6. That’s what I was told would happen if I missed more than two days.

did you end up having your surgery?
how are you guys holding up—are the pounds actually dropping off? I’m already down 1 pound on the scale which is making me super happy, and right now I’m on the 2.4 mg dose
