I don't know if it's just me, but I always get this weird sense of dread when a big series starts at home. You expect everything to go smoothly because the crowd is behind you and the energy is high, but that’s usually exactly when things start falling apart.

Last season, we had a stretch where we were absolutely cruising, and then suddenly, one bad weekend at home just completely sucked the momentum out of the entire month. It felt like we couldn't catch a break, even though we were playing in our own stadium.

I’ve noticed that when a team is struggling or looking a bit lost, they can be surprisingly dangerous. It’s like they have nothing to lose, and they play with this desperate kind of intensity that's hard to prepare for. It makes me wonder if it's better to be the team on a winning streak or the one just trying to keep their heads above water.

What do you guys think? Is it harder to play against a team that's desperate to turn their season around?

I heard about this one nightmare scenario from an acquaintance who ended up pulling their kid out because the whole setup was just overkill—extreme precautions paired with incredibly rude specialists and social workers. It’s like they don't even have basic rights; you can't just go out whenever you feel like it or hang out with whoever you want, and they treat everyone there like they're stuck in basic training. There's zero downtime, no 🤷 coffee breaks, smokes, or even having a doctor or psychiatrist on call 🙂 available, plus the food is absolute garbage and they barely give you any 😢. The poor kid actually ended up throwing up while they were staying there 😕
