Dealing with SIBO: Any advice? in Health ·
Would you be so kind as to elaborate on the specific nature of your die-off symptoms, and furthermore, which particular digestive enzymes have you found to be effective in your regimen?
Does anyone happen to know how one goes about scheduling an abdominal ultrasound over at Maja Radiology & Internal Medicine?
Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
I am currently in search of a highly competent general practitioner located within one of the western districts of Washington, D.C. Does anyone happen to have any reliable recommendations to offer?🙂
Vomiting (or at least intense nausea), diarrhea, and general malaise—these were the symptoms I presented to my primary care physician, who subsequently ordered a complete blood count, an electrolyte panel, and a urinalysis. There was some suspicion regarding a viral infection or perhaps an issue with my thyroid, which has been a persistent struggle for me, given that I have been on Euthyrox for about a year and a half due to hypothyroidism. The results arrived, and while the doctor didn't offer much specific commentary, stating simply that there are no inflammatory processes, that my hemoglobin and sedimentation rates are fine, and noting a slightly low potassium level, I decided to examine the urinalysis more closely myself. In the parentheses, you will see the reference intervals:
appearance- clear.
color- yellow (light yellow)
pH- 5.0 (5.0-9.0)
rel. vol. mass- 1.030 (1.002-1.030)
glucose- negative (normal)
bilirubin- negative (0/neg)
ketones- negative (0/neg)
erc/hb- trace (0/neg)
proteins- negative (0/neg)
urobilinogen- normal (normal)
nitrites- negative (0/neg)
leukocyte esterase- negative (0/neg)

leukocytes- 8-10 (0-2 x 400)
erythrocytes- 5-7 (0-2 x 400)
pl. epithelium- some (0-1 x 400)
bacteria- many (0/neg x 400)
mucus- many (0/neg x 400)

Should these final findings be a cause for concern, and ought I to demand further testing, even though I am currently feeling quite alright and am not experiencing any active symptoms?
