I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the sheer lengths some massive organizations will go to in order to protect their image. It’s one thing to hire a PR firm to spin a narrative or file a bunch of annoying lawsuits to tie up a critic. That’s just standard, albeit shady, business.

But lately, it feels like the "anything goes" mentality is shifting into something much darker. We’re seeing more instances where the line between aggressive competition and straight-up harassment is getting blurred. It’s honestly terrifying to think that a group of people working behind a desk could decide to target individuals personally, moving beyond professional disputes and into the realm of intimidation.

It makes me wonder about the accountability of these massive entities. When a company's internal culture becomes that toxic, is it just a few "bad actors," or is the entire structure designed to facilitate that kind of behavior? Once you start targeting people in their private lives to silence them, you aren't just fighting a PR battle anymore—you're basically entering a different category of law altogether.

How do we even begin to regulate corporate behavior when the tactics become so personal and unhinged?
