There were plenty of folks who had already checked out back in 2020, so I suppose they feel they shouldn't be forced to pay attention now.
But then you have the other group—those whose motives for silencing the debate aren't nearly as innocent. They’re looking for an amnesty today, but mark my words, they'll find themselves repeating the exact same mistakes when the next crisis hits...

Some fascists possess a nature so unrestrained that they no longer even bother to mask it, operating under the delusion that current fascist trends in society grant them permanent immunity. Regarding free speech, one should allow fascists to state their views openly, but when these very actors weaponize so-called "hate speech" codes in the public square specifically to silence their opponents, they are the ones laying the groundwork for their own prosecution; after all, they are the ones attempting to attribute hate speech to their critics, who are simply opposing fascism and nothing more. Their detractors might even tolerate the hate speech itself—since hate speech is merely a verbal offense—but they cannot, and absolutely must not, tolerate the coercion of others through blackmail into receiving vaccinations for unverified, and now proven, harmful substances. That is the true source of the fascist's frustration. And when they continue to project their hatred onto others, we must remember that behind their rhetoric and their attempts to muzzle dissent lie horrific atrocities that never truly expire.
