Alright, finally pulled the trigger and grabbed all my parts:
Intel Core i5 8400
Asrock Z370 Pro 4
Corsair 700W ATX Power Supply
PC-24000 RAM, 8 GB, GEIL EVO Spear GSB48GB3000C16ADC, DDR4 3000MHz, 2x4GB kit
GPU: GeForce GTX 1060, 3GB
SSD: Samsung 860 EVO
HDD: WD 2 TB, Blue case
Case: Fractal Design R5 Black
Hey guys—I could really use some advice on picking out a monitor. I’m looking to spend around $667, maybe give or take $100 bucks. The main thing is I'll be using it for photo editing. Any recommendations?

Honestly, though—I’d probably rather just hunt down a used GeForce GTX 1060 6GB that still comes with some kind of warranty.
What's your take on grabbing a GTX 1050Ti 4GB instead?
Sorry I haven't checked in for a while—life just kind of got in the way and threw some curveballs at me. Anyway, after looking at everything, I've realized there's no way I can just drop all the cash at once to build a rig for $1667. So, I've decided to play it smart and pick up one component every month. Here is what I've managed to grab so far: Intel Core i5-8400
Asrock Z370 Pro 4
Corsair RM750x, ATX, 750W
GEIL EVO Spear DDR4 3000MHz, 8 GB, kit 2x4GB
Now I'm stuck wondering which SSD and GPU would actually make sense for this setup. I was thinking about grabbing a Samsung 500 GB for storage, and maybe an NVIDIA GeForce card, but nothing more powerful than an $667.
Thanks for all the advice, everyone. I’m starting to realize that $5,000—wait, actually, let's just say my budget isn't quite as massive as I initially thought—is going to be a bit tight. Regarding the build options you guys sent over, I think I'm leaning toward an Intel setup. But, I definitely want to throw in a dedicated graphics card and beef up the power supply while I'm at it. Any suggestions for a solid GPU that won't break the bank?
I'm paying cash, but I've already got my monitor ready to go.
So, my current rig is about 10 years old now—definitely feeling its age—and it’s high time for an upgrade. I’m looking for some input on a potential build around the $1667 mark. Just to be clear, this machine is strictly for photo editing. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks in advance for the help!
