What does this have to do with Ukraine?

Those sanctions are really starting to shake things up...
steelharbor9 said:Oh, come on, man. Out of the Best Picture nominees, I feel like only Don't Look Up and Nightmare Alley were total garbage. Everything else was actually pretty solid—well, except for King Richard, which I haven't seen yet, so I can't say for sure. What do you think, 😁? I mean, compared to some of the lineups from previous years, this group is actually pretty killer.
Any one of those heavy hitters like Dune, Licorice Pizza, CODA, The Power of the Dog, or Drive My Car would have deserved the win. They probably would've been the best Best Picture winner we've seen in five or six years, maybe since Spotlight.
With how things have been going lately, I kind of thought they’d pull a total curveball and give it to Don't Look Up just to crank up the hype. But I guess it worked out by pure luck that they still aren't ready to hand a Best Picture trophy to a Netflix production (because if they were, The Power of the Dog probably would've been the frontrunner).
By the way, it seems like only on some niche conspiracy forums is there a consensus that the whole thing is rigged. Classic conspiracy theories, I guess. 🙏 Everywhere else, everyone seems to agree that Will definitely pulled it off. 🤣
Elizabeth Mendoza said:He’s not some troll; he just loves sharing his Smith opinions, especially with reporters at movie premieres. This isn't even his first rodeo. Rock has been poking fun at his wife since back in 2015. He was also out there making noise about the Oscar boycott because there weren't enough Black nominees.
The older they get, the more airheaded they become. That whole family is straight-up creepy—kind of like the Kardashians, but on a whole different level of weird. 🤣

Is this even possible? I find myself struggling to process the sheer reality that someone I am debating is actually being paid to hold their position.🤣

Olivia Taylor2 said:I got lucky and jumped into real estate about two years ago—caught the last train before prices went absolutely insane. I actually owned a plot of land that shot up by $200k in just a few months. To give you an idea, back then, new builds in cities like Chicago were going for maybe $150 per square foot, and now you can't find anything under $250. It’s definitely not the time to be buying unless your finances are rock solid. I’m probably not smart enough to predict if or when this bubble finally pops, though. Maybe someone here actually knows what they're talking about and can give us a real estimate? 🤷
Just speaking as a layman watching how things are moving, I have a gut feeling prices might even creep up a bit more over the next year or two before finally leveling off.
Justin James10 said:Total Alkar Fury 😁 The real issue isn't that people don't want their own homes; it's that here in America—due to a century of historical instability in this region—real estate is used as a massive vehicle for investment (and let's be honest, money laundering) because we aren't traditionally inclined to invest in actual businesses. This drives prices through the roof and makes it nearly impossible for "regular" folks to actually buy a home.

They’re at their absolute peak on that Z1 show where random people call in
Definitely a sick nation
Adam Williams2 said:Everyone keeps talking about closing down the airspace and how much that would help the Ukrainians, but I guess I wonder what that actually looks like in practice and how it would really play out.🤷
Kyle Campbell4 said:Similarly, Americans are seeing forecasts suggesting the Russian war machine will simply crumble within three to four weeks. They act as if they’ve been frozen in the 1980s. I can only imagine the sheer mockery echoing through the halls of The White House or the command centers, especially since every move is being monitored from above, leaving them unable to escape the blatant incompetence of the Rus. In the meantime, some high-ranking official from military intelligence has met his end. Yesterday, the defenders of Mariupolj performed a feat of pure heroism. They repelled constant enemy assaults all day long. Right now, those people are facing the most brutal conditions in all of Europe, including the rest of Ukraine. Nowhere else is the shelling as relentless as it is in Mariupolj, where the enemy tries to seize the city day after day. The city itself is nothing but rubble.
