Before heading to court, I talked things over with some older guys I know—did exactly what they advised me to do... and honestly? When I got to the station, they told me there’s no way I’m paying a fine since I’m a minor and don't have any income of my own. Plus, the ruling says the judge thinks there's no risk of me repeating the offense, so instead of a ban, I just got slapped with community service.

Whatever, man. I already got my answer anyway, so if they need to beat it, let 'em...

So, does that mean I can actually get a clean background check?

Hey... alright, quick question here.

Last summer at the Dinamo vs. Sheriff game, I was one of the guys detained under the north stands after the match—they took my photo with my ID and then let me go. A month later, I get a summons to talk to the police at the 4th Precinct over on Petrov. I went with my dad because I’m being treated as a minor in this whole process since the game happened two weeks before my 18th birthday (by the time I showed up for the interview, I was already an adult).

During the interview, the cop tells me I'm being accused of yelling things like "Mamić, get the hell out of this sanctuary!" and "HNS, you f***ing losers, you ruined football!" Then he plays a video where I'm clearly visible shouting those exact things.

In January, I got a court summons and an indictment stating the police are requesting a ban from attending matches for at least a year. In court, I just admitted everything—told the judge I felt guilty and that everything in the indictment was true. The judge told me she'd most likely grant the ban the police asked for, but two weeks after the hearing, the final ruling comes in: instead of a ban, I was sentenced to 20 hours of community service.

So, my question is: is all this going to mess with my job prospects down the road, seeing as this is a misdemeanor rather than a criminal charge? The officer at the station told me it wouldn't show up on any background check, but I want someone else to confirm that just so I'm 100% sure.

Thanks, and sorry if I'm posting in the wrong spot. 🙂

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, but where exactly is this beach spot they're talking about for the hangout? I'm not from Columbus, so... 🤷
