Birthday gift for a new relationship—is it too much?

I found myself in a similar spot recently. On top of everything else, she had just graduated. I was completely stumped on what to get her. Early on in our relationship, we’d talked about traveling, and she mentioned how much she wanted to see Venice. It didn't take much soul-searching. I booked us a day trip to Venice, and honestly, it turned out flawlessly. 🙂
Besides, it wasn't even that pricey. About the same as grabbing a nice bottle of designer cologne.
