I’m currently at the stadium in Savannah. The pitch is an absolute disaster—just a muddy mess. Logic suggests staying under 2.5 goals, but experience tells me there’s nothing wrong with betting on over 3.5. 😁
Then there’s the home team—a side that tends to concede just as much as they score.
But seriously, the field looks terrible...
God knows what it’ll look like after 50 or 60 minutes of play. 🤣
jadesailor said:James Taylor3, have you noticed how Marathon pulls players from their NBA lines almost exactly an hour before tip-off?
I hadn't caught that until now. I don't bet much on Marathon—usually just a few plays an hour before the game starts—so it slipped under my radar. 😁
But yeah, Kyle Ward makes a fair point; it's a smart move on their part, especially for games where key players are questionable. They get those lineup updates right around sixty minutes out.
Drew Wright said:FC Basel (3.5) - Real Madrid (26.11. 20:45) over 1.75—The referee, Howard Webb, isn't exactly hesitant with the cards—especially in European competition. Looking at his last ten matches, not a single one ended with fewer than four yellows... plus, the previous matchup between Basel and Real finished with four yellows as well. ☕
Most of what you wrote holds water, though saying he's handed out 4+ yellows in ten straight games is a bit of a stretch. Five is a more accurate figure. 😁
I already sent them over. I assumed there was an option on the site—as far as I recall, when I first signed up, they had a specific section for document uploads.
I’m not holding my breath for a San Marino goal—if we end up looking at a 0-3 scoreline, I’d much rather take Estonia at -2.5 with the 2.82 odds over at Pinnacle.
What’s the consensus—is taking the handicap on Estonia against San Marino @ 1.61 at Pinnacle worth the play? Most local US books are sitting around 1.30. 🙄 Even DraftKings is only offering 1.45, which is still lagging far behind 1.61—especially once you factor in the vig.
San Marino has failed to cover the spread in their last 15 outings—usually losing by at least 3 or 4 goals—so why should today be any different? 🤷 Granted, Estonia isn't exactly a scoring machine, but they really ought to clear this one, just like anyone else would. San Marino shouldn't find the back of the net either; they've managed only a single goal in their last 15 matches (against Poland) while conceding 61—that’s an average of 4.07 goals per game. I see Estonia actually pulled off an upset against Norway with a 1-0 away win, and prior to that, England had only managed to score once against them.
Bryan Adams6 said:Don't get ahead of yourselves here... Dortmund plays incredible football—they just can't seem to find the back of the net lately. To prove my point, I pulled their shot stats for this season:
Arsenal 24(7) - 2 goals Anderlecht 18(10) - 3 goals
The luck will turn eventually, and then we'll see their real surge this season... maybe it happens tonight.☕
I’ve watched them a few times this season, and frankly, I wasn't impressed by their play. Sure, the attack is decent enough, but it isn't what we saw in previous years—more importantly, the defense is a disaster. They’re all over the place and giving up far too many chances.
Germany just handed Scotland a 2-1 loss on home soil—and frankly, Scotland is sitting higher on the FIFA rankings than Ireland. There’s really no debate here—World Champions simply cannot afford back-to-back losses. Looking at their last meeting, Germany walked away with a clean 3-0 win on home soil.
I suspect you’re the first person looking at the FIFA rankings when picking your roster from this PDF. 🤣
After two consecutive stumbles in La Liga, it’s about time Real finds their rhythm again—and they'll likely use Deportivo as the springboard. This specific play—Deportivo +2 plus a Ronaldo goal—should be an easy win... the odds are frankly excellent. 🙂
DraftKings is a total rip-off regarding their betting structure—ever since they introduced those single-outcome bets paired with player props.
For instance, FanDuel offers 2.70 for that exact same wager; that's a significant gap.
The pitch is completely soaked, which usually means tough conditions for a high-scoring game. I'm still weighing this against an Under 2.5 goals play.😁
I agree that Seattle plays a physical style, making the "both teams to fail to score" bet look decent—but LAFC plays an open game and creates plenty of chances. That said... the argument about the wet field and poor conditions doesn't hold much water for me. In my twelve or thirteen years of betting, I've seen plenty of games played on absolute mud pits where I leaned toward the "under" or low-scoring combos, only to miss consistently. It's a strange pattern—more often than not, these muddy matches end up being high-scoring affairs, sometimes seeing three goals before halftime despite the mess. 🤣
San Diego FC vs. Austin FC — Over 2.5 goals @ 2.20 (4-0)
San Diego’s defense is arguably the worst in the league—every time an opponent crosses the midfield line, it practically guarantees a scoring chance. As for their offense, they can always scrap together a goal if they have to.
Austin is a mirror image here: shaky at the back, capable enough up front to manufacture something. We could easily be looking at a high-scoring affair.
A few stats to back this up: San Diego holds the league's worst defensive record through seven rounds, having surrendered 23 goals in that span—an average of 3.28 per match. Austin isn't far behind, conceding 16 goals in those same seven games. Neither side is particularly clinical, but I expect them to capitalize on the defensive lapses—which, in this matchup, should be plenty. 😁
driftingotter47, I’ve caught a few matches for Portland Timbers this season—their offensive output is pretty lackluster. Makes me skeptical about betting on them to find the net, even if the LA Galaxy’s defense has been shaky lately.
Dnipro is clearly the superior side—it was obvious during the first matchup. Hajduk tends to stumble in games like this; it's as if the pressure gets to them and causes them to freeze right when they need a win most. The Split residents desperately need the points, and their defense is far from reliable. If they concede early in the first half, they could easily fall apart in the second—something we've seen happen plenty of times before. Kalinić is the main striker, and while he can be a bit sluggish, he consistently finds himself in scoring positions. He’ll likely scrape something together tonight.
For comparison, SS is only offering 10.3 on this bet. Lately, the parlay odds for player goals at PSK have been significantly higher.
Personally, I’d take a bit of a gamble here and call a 1-1 draw—or even go with the tie—maybe even both teams finding the net in the first half given the odds. 🤷 What’s your take on that?
I’m taking the double handicap against the LA Galaxy. 😁
Dnipro (-2.5) - LA Galaxy 1 @ 4.25 FanDuel (2-1)
Judging by the roster, Dnipro looks remarkably similar to their squads from previous seasons—teams I've watched a few times in European play who were quite good, if not exceptional. Looking at this season's results and a few highlights, they remain consistently strong. Even without Konoplyanka, and despite the absence of Zozulya, they seem like a potent, stable, cohesive unit—and if memory serves, lethal on the counter.
The Galaxy, once again, are riding a wave of euphoria after a string of wins, but let's be realistic—they aren't an elite side, at least not at this stage of the tournament. That 6-0 blowout against San Diego doesn't impress me much; I've seen San Diego play three times this season, and their defense is a disaster—nearly every transition through the midfield turns into a clear scoring chance for the opposition. We all saw how shaky the Galaxy defense looked against Seattle and FC Dallas in the opening match, so I seriously doubt they won't concede multiple times today. Dnipro is a seasoned squad, regulars in European competition, and they'll certainly want to settle the progression issue as quickly as possible.
A three-goal margin isn't out of the question; we saw against Dundalk and Seattle how easily the Galaxy can fall apart when the scoreline isn't going their way. Dnipro will likely press from the opening whistle, and I expect an early goal—likely within the first 20 minutes.
Yeah, I don't get why they issued my bonus in dollars when my account is set up in USD. 🤷 From what I can tell, everyone else here got theirs in dollars. 🤣
