The question is who is actually choosing this? Nobody voted for some caricature to run the country. Listening to him sometimes feels like being in a parallel universe—if he weren't so tragic, he'd actually be a comedy.

I honestly think people will snap eventually and things will descend into chaos. This administration seems tailor-made to ignite the nation through sheer stupidity and their knee-jerk reactions to minor protests. But I fear it might be too late, and even if it happens, it'll be futile—we stopped making our own decisions a long time ago; now someone else out West handles that for us.

They do, but not in such an obvious, blatant way. Just look at how they started pushing out veteran journalists in NYC just to appease certain radical factions. They aren't "loyal" enough. And then there was the Reform Party—they promised us the moon and stars, big changes we desperately needed. What did we get? They filled positions just as fast as the Democrats, backed out of local government reforms, abandoned cutting congressional perks "because nobody supports them 🙂," and grabbed every single privilege they claimed they were going to abolish. Unbelievable.

In the end, that one populist outlier was the only one showing any accountability to voters; everyone else just folded.

Look, the guy deserved his prison sentence, but my point was that it won't change the power structure in this country. In a functional nation, by 2010, the GOP would only exist in history textbooks—noted as a party that played a role in winning the war while simultaneously gutting the country through corrupt privatizations, all while their loyal followers cheered them on. Now we have a ruling party that couldn't present a single economic policy on air or face a debate against the "worst administration in history." Their campaign speeches basically sounded like: "War war veterans war patriotism communists God war war reforms war reforms war war royalists communists God patriots war war war war war."

It’s inevitable that someone else will eventually take over this country. Geographically speaking, there's too much potential here for it to stay this way, and it's not the land's fault it's spent 25 years suffering under various flavors of idiots in charge.

Religious groups were only included because the administration thinks they carry more weight than education or science. In this country, there’s only a shot if a group like the Libertarians or some other sensible faction managed to pull in numbers similar to the Reform Party. If they actually prove to be a legitimate third option after the election, I’m convinced they’d pull way more votes in a runoff. For instance, I didn't vote for the Reform Party because I knew nothing about them and they didn't feel like a real alternative. But during those few days when a reelection seemed possible, I made it clear: if they can actually unseat the Democrats and Republicans, they’ll have my vote—even if I personally find some of their members' pasts and stances pretty distasteful.

We already know which playbook works in this country. It doesn't matter how much of a piece of work you are or what garbage you've pulled in the past; all you have to do is shout about patriotism and faith loud enough.

If a war criminal joined the Republican Party and ran for chairman, as long as he leaned hard into those talking points, the flock would elect him in a heartbeat. They'd spend the rest of their time spitting venom at the Democrats—which really just means anyone who dares to disagree with them or uses a single logical argument to point out how idiotic they're being.

As brutal as it sounds, we got exactly what was coming to us. The sheep chose them, so now they can deal with the consequences! The Republicans know! Because people come before politics. ☕

I’m also genuinely concerned about whether that priest is actually following the law. It bugs me how they’re making life difficult for everyone here in Washington, D.C., just because of one idiot. Eventually, it becomes our problem too. Honestly, I didn't even know this priest existed until this protest started. I just saw some stuff on Facebook and thought maybe it was a protest over some mess involving the local news station (and if Bujanec is involved in that, too).
