So, looks like the first option is the move then. But let me ask you something—would it actually make sense down the road to just bite the bullet and grab a new motherboard that comes paired with a dedicated graphics card?
So, is there actually any way to put together a build for that kind of cash where I'm not stuck with some crappy integrated graphics?
What are we looking at for the GPU? And what about the sound card?
2000-$833. Where should we meet? I'm based out of San Diego, so somewhere around town would be absolutely perfect.
Hey, I'm planning on picking up this PC tomorrow Right now, my current rig is basically just for browsing the web and playing some older titles like Rome: Total War, Call of Duty 2, and Napoleon: Total War. Do you think this integrated graphics card can actually handle those, or am I wasting my time? Is it even worth pulling the trigger on a new motherboard and a dedicated GPU at the same time?
Hey everyone. First off, does anyone have a decent motherboard they'd recommend for under 400 bucks? $167 I wouldn't mind something used if it actually makes sense financially.
I just inherited this old clunker of a PC—the parts inside are ancient and pretty weak. My plan is to strip it down and build something halfway respectable out of it. I mainly want to play stuff like League, the older Call of Duty titles, Rome: Total War, and other low-spec games; nothing crazy or high-end. So, if you could point me toward some affordable components (motherboard, CPU, and GPU) that can actually handle those games without breaking the bank, that would be huge. Again, used gear is totally fine. Honestly, I don't know the first thing about hardware compatibility or how to put a rig together, so I'm asking for help to make sure everything actually fits and works together.
Thanks a ton!! 😁
