Is anyone else still here? What has your experience been like lately?

I realized I actually posted something here a while back—glad to see my brain hasn't completely shut down yet.🙂.
Update: I’ve stopped pushing for a diagnosis. There wasn't much left to uncover, and honestly, I think I've exhausted most of the avenues available. I've just learned to live with it; I've accepted the reality and stopped overanalyzing, though that intrusive thought occasionally resurfaces when I least expect it...
Taylor, I hope things are going similarly for you.
Best,

Angela Wright said:That’s just how it goes with rare diseases and conditions. Your best bet is to keep searching online until you find a leading global center specializing in rare brain conditions and seek explanations from them. It might not be a bad idea to contact our local research institute as well:
If they can't help, at least they'll know who to refer you to for further assistance.

Here are some of the primary centers for brain tumors:

EDIT: This link provides a detailed description of a woman's case where it is located in the corpus callosum.

There was discussion regarding an initiative like this here: http://ehealthforum.com/health/diagn...a-t177251.html, but there seems to be a consensus where this type of lipoma is largely treated as a "benign non-issue." Consequently, symptoms like vision issues, mood swings, or fatigue are often attributed to other causes. This would be acceptable if the whole situation weren't so shaky and under-researched. For instance, when I asked a neurosurgeon, "What would you do if you had this on your brain?", he simply shrugged his shoulders; he said nothing, or rather, he said he didn't know. There were plenty of possible vague responses: "every case is individual," "it's hard to say," and so on.

The American version is worth a try, why not.

I appreciate your response and interest, then. At least now, when someone else Googles this diagnosis, they will receive some actual information instead of just being told, "You have a lipoma, period." They will see that we exist. I🙂

To you, 🙂

I did some digging online; perhaps this will be useful to you: http://radiopaedia.org/articles/intracranial-lipoma
You can find published studies on PubMed here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?...cranial+lipoma

From what I can gather, this is an extremely rare diagnosis. Treatment is purely symptomatic—addressing pain, edema, or seizures. Surgical intervention isn't typically recommended because the morbidity often outweighs any potential benefit.

Exactly. Thanks for the links; I hadn't come across those yet. The symptoms I'm experiencing, along with a handful of others I found on an international forum, aren't officially recognized as consequences of a lipoma. Fine. I don't quite grasp why there is such a shroud of mystery surrounding this. Imagine when they simply 😲 tell you nothing at all about a fatty tissue growth in the brain—is it due to ignorance, or is there truly nothing left to say? 🤷

Greetings. Has anyone here encountered a lesion on the corpus callosum or elsewhere in the brain? I am looking for actual experiences or insights, as I find myself at odds with the various neurologists and neurosurgeons I have consulted so far.
