Frequent PC crashes in IT Support ·
Uninstalled Playclaw 5. Once my GPU hit 55 degrees, the whole system just tanked. Rebooted, fired up Playclaw again, and—boom—crashed within five seconds. Tried running League of Legends, same story. It stayed on the Launcher for maybe a minute before the entire system went down. I tried disabling the graphics card entirely; League wouldn't crash then, but obviously, I couldn't actually play anything without it. Turned the card back on, and now it seems fine? Played for half an hour without a single crash.

GPU drivers were updated ages ago, and there hasn't been a new release in months. Didn't even have Norton on my rig. Not sure how to check temps after a session since the whole thing just crashes mid-game.

Got an ASUS rig about a year and a half old. It used to crash intermittently, then just stopped for a while. Now, a few weeks ago, the crashes came back. It started while I was playing League of Legends—it used to do that too, but I thought it was fixed. Lowering the settings helped at first, making me think it was just a GPU issue, but now it crashes even on the lowest settings. Lately, it’s crashing during basic web browsing or when I'm doing nothing at all. Ran WhoCrashed yesterday; it flagged four third-party drivers as potential culprits. Tried troubleshooting via the web, but no luck. Can anyone help? Is this something I can fix at home, or am I looking at a trip to the repair shop?

Specs: ASUS running Windows 7, 32-bit. Processor is AMD A8-3850 Apa with Radeon HD Graphics 2.90 GHz, GPU is AMD Radeon HD 6670, 4 GB RAM.

Here's the WhoCrashed analysis:

21 crash dumps have been found and analyzed. Only 10 are included in this report. 4 third party drivers have been identified to be causing system crashes on your computer. It is strongly suggested that you check for updates for these drivers on their company websites. Click on the links below to search with Google for updates for these drivers:

atikmdag.sys (ATI Radeon kernel moda driver, Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.)
aswsnx.sys
hal.sys
aswmonflt.sys

Not an overheating issue. Temps are sitting around 55 Celsius.
