You’ve got a point there. Thanks. 🙂
The issue here is that the interpretation in the first post came from a doctor, not just some random person off the street.
Angela Wright, what you wrote there is a perfectly clear explanation. It’s logical, and honestly, it’s exactly what I was looking for, so thanks. This actually matters because of an ongoing legal case I'm dealing with, and I really need a formal reference to back up your reasoning—something from a named expert, a MD, or a professor, but I can't find a single thing online that fits.
I honestly thought answering whether pregnancy counts as a "medical condition" would be pretty straightforward.
But I’ve been getting everything from a hard "yes" to people arguing that "medical conditions" only refer to illnesses—and since pregnancy is a natural, healthy process, they say it doesn't qualify.
If you ask me, a medical state is just a binary: you're either sick or you're healthy. So, if pregnancy is a healthy state, then yeah, it's still a medical state.
My late-night Google rabbit holes haven't helped at all, and now I'm starting to wonder if I'm even asking this in the right corner of the internet. I feel like I'm just spinning my wheels here.
Anyone have any thoughts?
