It isn't an issue with the browser—whether I am using Firefox or Chrome, the results remain identical,
the system clock is accurate, and every setting appears to be perfectly configured.
Where on earth am I supposed to locate the precise driver for my LAN? And besides, what good would such a driver do me if I am currently connected via Wi-Fi and the fiber connection simply refuses to function?
So, I have everything plugged in, cables connected, the whole nine yards, yet when I attempt to browse, absolutely nothing loads—not a single webpage. This is a fresh installation of Windows XP on this machine.
I switched things up by using a USB Wi-Fi adapter, installed the drivers, and successfully connected to my home network. When I run a ping to www.google.com, the connection is perfectly responsive, yet the browser remains utterly useless; it simply displays the start page and refuses to go any further. It is maddening because I cannot find a solution despite having exhausted every single tutorial online. The internet works fine on my other computer, which leads me to believe the issue is localized entirely within this specific Windows environment. Is there some obscure setting or missing component preventing access? If anyone has even the slightest clue, please, I am desperate for help.
