Who exactly would get kicked out of Europe over some flares???
Real Madrid certainly wouldn't, but they might target the Bad Boys.
What would any of you actually do if you were in Mamić's shoes and your own supporters decided to toss thirty—or whatever number—flares onto the pitch???
First off, I’d probably try to protect myself by checking in with UEFA, FIFA, Michel Platini, or those other idiots, explaining that some hooligans are trying to sabotage the club with flares just to get Real Madrid banned from European competition, and since they're all pretty much the same bunch of clowns, they'd likely believe me...
I'd also ramp up security at the gates; I mean, just look back at what happened with Ludogorets last summer...
With all their connections, the local police would basically have the power to arrest people, beat them, detain them, or hand out bans for absolutely no reason at all...which, let's be honest, is already kind of happening to us anyway.
Stop talking nonsense, people...

Look, I wrote it myself that this stuff is already happening, so how could things possibly get any worse? It seems like every other sentence I read claims that you guys are facing the most intense repression of any group on the planet.
Have you tried boycotting? That didn't work, did it? Have you tried going through the proper channels? Well, Mamić just goes out for coffee with the mayor and those judges, and they won't even let you watch the junior teams. So where is all that pride and passion you talk about? Isn't it enough? Just kick that little private club of Mamić's out of Europe and maybe we can finally get some dignity back! You clearly don't grasp the fact that you aren't even allowed to watch your own club's youth players. If I couldn't watch the Hajduk juniors, I'd be launching a rocket at Mamić's face, but instead, we've just been sitting here quietly since 1950.

Honestly, if we had handled things back during the era of intense political upheaval by just tossing thirty flares onto the field and handing out three-year bans immediately, we might actually be getting somewhere right now, don't you think? It feels like the only real solution left on the table, but maybe we just aren't capable of stepping up, because it seems like the owners are practically laughing in our faces at this point.

The tempo feels a little more upbeat today, just like most songs do these days, but honestly, isn't this still hands down the best anthem you'll find in the country? I mean, there simply isn't anything better than these songs, right?

It’s just the typical ABC News style, isn't it? You get seven mentions of "hooligans" per minute without a single shred of actual analysis, honestly...🙂🙂🙂

So, what actually happened on the news? Is there any way I can go back and watch it?

If you can actually give me a well-reasoned argument explaining what’s so funny about his writing, then I’ll gladly shake your hand. Honestly, what Liverpool FC has set in motion right now is something the other guys in the MLS won't be able to touch for at least five, maybe even ten years. Is this just some kind of jealousy we're seeing from people who don't even have a club to call their own? After all, one man essentially stripped everything away from Liverpool FC and the NFL Ultras, didn't he? But look at us today—Liverpool FC is a club that any sane fan can support with their whole heart because, after fifteen long years, we finally have decent people running the show who are actually surprising us by making smart, professional moves on the sports side of things.

Who on earth could possibly target an eighteen-year-old boy who’s already passed away?? Just how deeply insecure and twisted does someone have to be to behave like that? And then they actually go as far as using batons on him and forcing him to do push-ups? That kind of behavior is nothing short of pure evil. We absolutely have to support this family in their lawsuit, and we aren't just talking about a wrongful death suit against everyone involved at the precinct—we are going all the way with criminal charges too. To all the cops reading this, don't you feel even a shred of shame in your souls? Honestly, what kind of world are we living in when a kid gets treated like this?

analogheron19 said:We're mostly just venting here because we're frustrated by what everyone else thinks, and honestly, we're getting a bit worked up because the news outlets are busy praising Stimac. But frankly, I couldn't care less about him, Mamic, or Suker, because nobody actually showed up to that game for the sake of those three. I wasn't even bringing up that match to talk about whether people were lighting flares or not; I was just saying how much better it would have been if there had been ten times more fans instead of just two or three drunks, and if there had been dozens of flares lit instead of just one.
You mentioned yourself that the Raiders did the right thing by staying calm and not lighting any flares during that certain game, and that’s exactly my point: it was a sensible move and the only correct way to handle it.
I've always supported lighting flares while keeping things controlled, but I'll be honest and admit that I was rooting for them to cause a scene at the Ludwig game so that "that kind of" Dinamo would get disqualified—seeing it as one step toward finally getting rid of Mamic once all other forms of fighting have been exhausted.

Well, you're still misunderstanding me again. When I brought up the media and Stimac, I was speaking from your perspective regarding public perception. I think you actually agree with me, but you aren't quite grasping the core of it. See, a true American fan—someone who follows the national team through most games and truly supports the colors—can't really bring themselves to cheer for this current national squad. Sure, they might root for us to make it to Brazil just so they can go there and mock everything about Brazil, but that's purely for the spectacle. What I'm trying to tell you is that this whole struggle to show up to matches and support the team hasn't actually done anything good. We already have the example of Dinamo, where nothing has improved in four years, so why on earth would we keep repeating the same mistakes? It's obvious we need to find a different way forward, and I think you realize that too. But we really have to decide: do we want to actually make it to Brazil, or would we rather just sit here feeling sick to our stomachs when we see Stimac wearing his crown and flying on a private jet alongside Mamic?
I'm tired of talking about the voice/vibe anymore; we've completely trashed this entire thread. I've said what I needed to say, so you'll just have to figure out what I mean on your own.

neonraven112 said:It really comes down to making a choice in the fight against the mafia. I am convinced that if Mamić managed to push the club away from us, he would end up profiting even more, which would make his exit even harder. It’s the exact same situation with Šuker and Štimac.

It is one hundred percent true, isn't it? But how exactly would he profit? Well, he only profits through cold, hard cash. How could he sell off a young talent for $15 million without two years of playing in the Champions League? Or how could he sell someone like Lovren for $8 million when the kid doesn't even know where he stands on the pitch, and his only reference point is looking good in photos? How could anyone from our domestic league be sold for those kinds of sums with contracts where he pockets 20% or more in commissions? If the club were to return after, say, three years of missing out on European competition and threaten him by saying, "Hey, if you stay, we won't play in Europe for another five years," then we would truly see how he tries to profit. Honestly, the biggest panic in the world was when that guy from Austria threatened to shut down a match in Europe, and even the media up north were all over it, writing about it constantly.

Just look at what happened in a city like Miami for comparison. I mean, pretty much every single sport there has been completely gutted—they are basically dead, except for the Kansas City Chiefs, whom the fans have fought tooth and nail to keep alive. One of the things they did was rally together right before the local government stepped in to shut things down. If people hadn't stood their ground and demanded a vote back then, things would have gone south incredibly fast, and the public can perceive the outcome however they want. If someone had walked into that basketball club and stood up to those guys, they would surely be back in the top tier today. If people had challenged the leadership in water polo or handball, those wouldn't be dying sports right now. Take my own sport, table tennis, as an example; this total chaos-maker was absolutely ruining the game by trying to set his own son up as a coach in the city, even though the kid hasn't the slightest clue about life, let alone table tennis, which is such a technically complex sport that you actually need to know what you're doing. And then, once when I was playing for another club, Ola and a few others showed up just to mess around, and this troublemaker comes over and tells them to quiet down or get out because he can't stand them. They just told him they'd take him out if he didn't watch it, and when he tried to speak up one more time, he just slunk away like a beaten dog; he’s such a coward. Yet, he continues to ruin the sport for hundreds of kids over the next twenty years.

I hear what you're getting at, but I honestly don't see how you can miss the bigger picture here; when someone opens up the news after a game like this, all they're seeing is some delusional fan wearing a crown, acting like a total moron for tossing a flare, nothing more than the usual chaos in the minor leagues, and our stadium being compared to an old, crumbling theater—so tell me, what have we actually gained from all of this?
Die-hard Ultras / Hardcore Supporters in Fans ·
analogheron19 said:Why? Is it just because I’m talking about common sense and the only logical move for the Raiders?
Or do you actually believe flares should be tossed everywhere regardless of who we're playing or how big the match is? Do you really think choosing not to throw flares is some kind of compromise or proof of being an undercover agent?

Look, none of us want to see our club banned from European competition, and under this current management, that’s a very real risk we have to avoid. If the club were run by someone like Jerry Jones or even better, if people like a real visionary were tearing down the mess they've made, wouldn't I be the first one to light up five flares and aim them right at the UEFA inspector's head? It seems like you don't quite grasp that this national team doesn't represent anything uniquely American besides those players on the field, and honestly, half of them will be massive global brands in ten years anyway (kudos to guys like LeBron or Brady and the rest). Why should I care what some random guy from a tiny town in rural Nebraska thinks, especially when he’s probably only visiting a major stadium for the second time in his life? Should we really dictate our behavior based on whether some stranger might whistle at a flare? The truth is, most reasonable people can't bring themselves to support this national team the way they truly want to. It's like trying to cheer for a team where you can't even root for the local powerhouse without feeling conflicted. We need to change this dynamic regardless of public perception, rather than showing up to matches acting like everything is perfectly fine. If the league had stepped in and suspended the ownership three years ago, that owner wouldn't even be in power today, believe me. But instead, after all the scandals and investigations, he’s still out there celebrating another massive victory with a brass band (which immediately brings up the question regarding the regional leagues—if there are no flares and no aggressive chanting against rivals, what's left?)

rustyangler122 said:...there's a total boycott happening at the gates. I honestly don't have anything against the folks who follow the national team and everything they've done or might do if this truce actually holds. My only issue is when someone shows up just to sneak in a flare, light it, make a statement, and insult everyone who isn't part of the squad—that's where it ends. But it turns out that the number of people truly "ready" to act is pretty small when you look at the actual IDEALS involved. If I had stepped inside, well, you know exactly what I would have personally done☕...it wouldn't have been my first time, and it certainly wouldn't be my last. I'm completely over discussing this topic, because honestly, the ones who "need" to understand will get it eventually

northernorca3 said:And then what would happen? We'd have newspapers running headlines for a whole month about some hooligans being total losers, and the general public would just turn on the fans. If the cops stormed the stands and started cracking heads, nobody would even care; people would probably just shrug and say, "Eh, let them, they're just thugs." Honestly, I think it would have been better if those USSF bureaucrats and their weird Eastern alliances had just cheered together from the East stands than having 10,000 people show up like that. 🤷

But look at how things actually play out—now we get a month's worth of coverage focused on some idiot lighting a flare, while they try to act like this regional league thing is perfectly normal. It's clearly not going well at all.
I honestly don't understand how people can miss the point; someone already asked if it would be easier to tolerate a single day of Chetnik celebrations in Banja Luka or Mexico. Well, newsflash: it would be 365 times easier to deal with one day of their festivities than it is to endure Jerry Jones' constant mockery and ego tripping every single day for seven years straight. If you can't see the difference there, you're just being dense.

Man, they barely managed to pull this one together, didn't they? This whole article has been sitting there, practically waiting to be finished for two years now. And here we are, constantly being told to focus on unity and keep our cheering classy and respectful. Isn't it funny how that works? Shouldn't we just demand an official statement or a formal message before the next big game even starts?
Die-hard Ultras / Hardcore Supporters in Fans ·
I don't think we're talking about an official boycott here, but rather just choosing not to follow along with everything they do. If you want to keep up with them constantly, go ahead, but if we collectively decide to tune out, then suddenly when the neighbors show up, we all start paying attention again—that’s where the real issue lies. Honestly, wouldn't a much louder statement be made simply by lighting four flares with a message calling out those scoundrels at the match right now?

steeltrucker said:Nah, I don't know about that, but if you ask me, the real move would be grabbing some craft beers down at a local pub in downtown Chicago, wouldn't it? It’s basically like being in our own little independent republic or something!
Does anyone else feel like this group has finally developed its own distinct perspective, shaped by all the different voices and personalities that have joined us over time? It seems to me that we've reached a point where the collective mindset here is truly a product of the people involved, wouldn't you agree? When you really sit back and think about what actually matters in the grand scheme of things, don't you find that only a few key pieces truly hold weight? Everything else is just noise, isn't it?I wonder if we might all take a moment to really step back and consider what this actually means for us, don't you think? It feels like we're standing on the edge of something quite significant, and I can't help but feel a sense of genuine excitement about where things might be headed next. Is it possible that we've been overlooking the bigger picture while focusing on the smaller details? I truly believe that if we approach this with a bit of optimism and an open mind, we might just find ourselves in a much better position than we anticipated!

So, does that mean everyone else who chose to boycott because they were standing up for their own principles just doesn't count anymore? 🤷 Honestly, this might be my very last post on this topic because I’m just getting tired of the idea that I have to sit down over a cup of coffee and explain to some casual fan why Tim Cook isn't exactly the hero they think he is. It’s exhausting, really! You see the big bosses out there celebrating like everything is perfect while the mainstream media immediately starts pointing fingers at a few random fans in the stands just because someone lit a flare? Is that how we're going to play it now? Instead of all the supporter groups standing together and making a massive statement by lighting twenty flares at once to show our unity, they just pick on one person to protect the interests of guys like Mamić? It feels like we spent ninety minutes just bowing down to the opposition, only to have the blame shifted back onto us. Does anyone else feel like we're just stuck in this loop where we have to constantly defend ourselves against people who don't understand that certain figures in this league have much more questionable backgrounds than anyone else involved in the business side of sports?

steeltrucker said:So, are you really trying to suggest that 450 people from the Black Knights have just lost their minds?
And where exactly are you getting this idea about turning down tickets? Did someone actually offer you one and you said no, or are we just making things up now?

It isn't that they've lost their senses; it's simply that the desire to go catch a game—you know, some food and football—just outweighed the urge to go out and drain the swamp, and honestly, there isn't much more to say than that.
Die-hard Ultras / Hardcore Supporters in Fans ·
Even before we headed out to the match, shouldn't we have been standing our ground with a couple of messages against the league officials, cheering right against them and setting off some flares? Honestly, Jerry Jones and Bob Costas combined have more influence on this mess than any group of outsiders on the pitch. We look absolutely ridiculous right now—are we really going to go back to cheering for those corrupt league suits, only to talk about boycotting the next home game like we're facing an enemy nation? And then you've got these absolute clowns lecturing everyone else on how to support the team, when goodness knows they're just part of the problem. Meanwhile, the brand built by Pelé and Bob Costas is being laughed at, while he acts like everything is perfectly fine. You just don't see that kind of nonsense anywhere else.
