I neglected to mention this earlier, but I have this nagging feeling they might pull off an upset given their recent push for promotion to the top flight. Even though they’re facing a first-division side, the home team has been playing with a certain level of competence lately, so I'll be placing my bet on them.
KAS Eupen vs OH Leuven (05/08/2014; 20:30h) @ 1 - 2.20 SS (0-3)
Here is a specific pairing I intend to play: In the US, we have a playoff match for the Belgian League Cup between the home side KAS Eupen and the visiting OH Leuven. Why this particular matchup? It comes down to the numbers. KAS Eupen has been playing exceptionally well at home lately; in their last six matches this year, they’ve managed five wins and only one loss. Their recent form mirrors their previous patterns. On the other hand, the visitors have struggled significantly, recording four losses and two draws in their last six outings, following a string of disastrous results. Looking back at the first leg of these playoffs, KAS Eupen secured a 3-2 victory at home, while OH Leuven was held to a 0-0 draw. Given the stark contrast in statistics between these two sides, the odds seem generous. I am convinced KAS Eupen will walk away with all three points. Good luck to anyone following along.
Hamburger SV II - Werder Bremen II @ 2 - 1.70 PSK (0-2)
I suppose I should share a pick with you all. Tomorrow, Werder Bremen travels to face Hamburger SV II. Currently, Werder is sitting pretty in 2nd place, just trailing VfL Wolfsburg II; they need four points to close that gap. Meanwhile, Hamburger SV II is languishing down in 14th. Looking at the numbers, Werder’s away form is decent enough—9 wins, 4 losses, and only 2 draws. On the flip side, Hamburger SV II has a record of 3/8/4, which suggests they struggle significantly when playing on their home turf. Werder is riding a wave of momentum right now, and they'll likely try to squeeze out as many points as possible while the opportunity exists. My move here is Double Chance 2. I can't seem to find this specific line on the betting sites at the moment, though perhaps they'll post it tomorrow.
SS Philadelphia Eagles vs Los Angeles Lakers @ 2 1.80 (4:1) SS Portland Timbers vs Los Angeles FC @ 2 2.00 (0:3) SS Sesvete vs Chicago @ x2 1.30 (1:1)
Total odds: 4.6800 Stake: 4/5
The Philadelphia Eagles are sitting at the bottom, but they did manage a win against Pula recently. That said, I wouldn't expect the Los Angeles Lakers to fall behind after their narrow 1-0 victory over Portland. Even though the Eagles are desperate for points, I’m not writing off the Lakers; they aren't exactly known for handing out easy wins. Regarding the Portland match, given how they lost to the Lakers and how dominant Los Angeles FC was against Rijeka, I don't see it being an issue for the favorites to pick up a win today. Even if they haven't performed well in San Francisco lately, Los Angeles FC is simply a much higher-caliber squad. The odds on the last one might seem a bit low—2.20 for Chicago is actually quite reasonable—but Chicago should be fine. They’ve been playing incredibly well in the second division and have definitely earned their promotion to Major League Soccer. If a struggling Inter Milan can handle a 2-0 loss to Sesvete, then Chicago, who is fighting to secure their spot in the top flight, should be able to do the same. I’ll take the double chance (x2) just to hedge my bets, in case the local rivalry leads to some sluggish play.
What are your thoughts on tomorrow's matchups, specifically Philadelphia Eagles vs Los Angeles Lakers and Portland Timbers vs Los Angeles FC? I noticed the Social Security Administration is offering 1.70 on the Lakers, while Los Angeles FC is sitting at 2.00. Given that Los Angeles FC hasn't managed a win in their last two outings—and from what I've gathered, they haven't exactly been dominant when playing out in San Francisco—it makes me wonder. The Portland Timbers are at 3.50; do you think there's any merit in taking that kind of risk? As for the Lakers, I'd say they deserve a shot here against a team at the bottom of the table. I don't see them just handing over points that easily.
I’d appreciate it if someone on this forum could walk me through the following situation: Basically, I placed a bet on the Shrewsbury vs. Port Vale match. Shrewsbury took the lead in the 50th minute, and everything seemed fine until the 64th minute, when a fire broke out at the stadium. There was a 20-minute delay while things settled down, but ultimately, the match was called off entirely. So, my question is, what happens now? I placed this via my online account on DraftKings. Will the bet be voided regardless of the fact that my team was leading, or how does it work? If anyone could scan the news reports for me, I’d be incredibly grateful, as my grasp of English isn't exactly top-tier.
To be honest, the potential payout isn't anything life-changing. It would feel pretty ridiculous to sit around waiting a week or however long it takes for a replay to happen—we're talking about a win worth maybe three beers here.🤣
Is this what we call NBA experts now? What on earth happened to the analysis today? It feels like a complete vacuum. The only thing that caught my eye was how solid Atlanta and Philly looked out there. Any thoughts on today's slate, Nicholas Chase34?
I placed a bet on New York - Portland (1p) 1 😁. Man, damn that Aldridge :SSS. Also, I wanted to ask—if I had Derrick Rose on my ticket, but he isn't playing tonight, does that count as a voided bet?
Arthur Hill2 said:I tried calling him at home, but there’s no answer. Phone is off, which is actually pretty worrying.
I asked nicely, so please refrain from leaving those mindless comments. Thanks.
P.S. That goes for you too, wiredcanyon39. As far as I’m concerned, I have every right to ask questions here, even if I don't live and breathe the NBA as much as you lot do.
Is Rose actually playing today or what??? If he doesn't suit up, I'm feeling pretty uneasy about the matchup against Miami, especially considering how many injuries Chicago is already dealing with.
If we are actually taking Mr. Bones at his word, then Chicago (191.5) vs. Miami Heat seems like a stretch. That spread feels a bit too wide for my liking; the last matchup ended at 190, and before that, it was just 160. Plus, they’re dealing with some key absences on the roster today.
LeBron James is currently averaging 32.7 points over his last three matchups against the Bulls. James L (-28.5+) Chicago vs. Miami... what are the odds?
I had a feeling the Orlando Magic would pull this off, but those damn overtime periods really stretched things out. I was just playing the usual 🙂 . 😍Play, we're waiting on you
graniteotter6 said:I placed a single parlay yesterday, and it went through without any trouble at all. I'm not even looking at the lists anymore. After seeing two games in a row go under the total, I’ve decided to pivot my strategy. I'm putting my money on LA vs Golden State.🙂 Personally, Phoenix is looking pretty solid to me right now. They’ve been dominant at home, consistently handling business against anything less than elite competition. Meanwhile, Minnesota seems like they've completely lost their footing lately, so I wouldn't be surprised if this goes their way. For the rest of the board, I’d personally lean toward the Wall under. Given he's playing on the road, the odds just don't feel right, especially since the margin in the HL is sitting at 19.5. 😁 I’m not entirely convinced that an over/under of 184.5 for the Charlotte vs New Orleans game is a safe bet. For that number to hit, both teams really need to find their rhythm and actually start scoring consistently—though I realize that goes against the whole "don't fix what isn't broken" theory of momentum. I’ve been noticing a general trend this week: the over bets on total points seem to be consistently beating out the unders. Sitting here with my pen ready. What's everyone up to today? 🤷
I’ve been sitting here weighing the matchup between the Chicago Bulls and the New York Knicks, trying to make sense of it all. On paper, Chicago seems to have the edge simply because they had a day of rest to recover, which can be everything in this league. If you look at the stats, they technically look better, and they did manage to pull off a win in their last outing, though it was anything but convincing—a gritty, narrow 105-103 victory that left me wondering if they can actually sustain that kind of momentum. It was a razor-thin margin, and frankly, it makes me skeptical. I'm struggling to decide if that win was a sign of grit or just pure luck. I’d love to hear what everyone else thinks about this one; let me know your take. 😁
I’ve been keeping a close eye on the numbers and placed a few individual parlay legs. Wishing everyone the best of luck tonight. ☕
