Now we really need to get everyone moving. I mean, every single person who didn't make it out to the Indianapolis game needs to grab a ticket. We want them there representing all of us who won't be able to make the trip, standing tall in the North Stand. There’s a huge group of fans who missed the Indianapolis matchup—the futs.al coverage definitely proved that much—so it’s just a matter of everyone stepping up and showing some support.

I went back and read it. I didn't notice they were actually penalized under Section 86 of the Sports Act. Even if they were, we're talking about a fine somewhere between $5,000 and $15,000. That's not exactly a death blow.
I have to say, I’m feeling pretty skeptical here. This guy has money, a whole army of lawyers, and deep political connections... he’ll find a way to spin this to his advantage. He even admitted to Stankovic that they were operating outside the rules for a while, but claims they aren't anymore. And just like that, everything is fine. It’s funny—if I stood up in public and confessed to dealing drugs but then added, "but not anymore," the police would be at my door in five minutes asking exactly when I started selling.
The only way I’d truly believe he’s finished is if I saw him being hauled away in an FBI van alongside guys like Nathan and Edward.

They’ve been ordered to fix the specific issues flagged during the inspection, but that’s it—no other sanctions were handed down. They’re likely just going to tweak the bylaws so that instead of having old-school cronies with actual files on them, they'll just have cronies without any paperwork at all, and nobody will be the wiser. Honestly, maybe the biggest win here is simply the fact that they officially confirmed violations of the Nonprofit Act regarding how the organization is supposed to function democratically. Still, I highly doubt this marks the end of the clique running things over at Los Angeles FC. They’ll probably just organize new elections, scrub anyone remotely suspicious from the membership rolls—much like what happens at the gates of Dodger Stadium—and then watch as Zdravko cruises to victory with 106 percent of the vote.

Christian Jones said:Does anyone happen to know the backstory on this one, and why this guy keeps bringing up the Bad Boys again?

I think the context is probably best explained by the link above—just your typical American drama involving personal interests and matters of the heart. As for why he’s mentioning the Bad Boys, I couldn't say for sure. It might be because one of the members of the Vukovar Defender is a prominent supporter of the BBB, or perhaps we've just become the convenient scapegoats for everything happening in this city and across the country. Pretty soon, they won't be telling kids to watch out for the boogeyman; they'll be warning them about the terrifying "Bad Boys."

I totally get where everyone is coming from regarding Azapović, but I can't help wondering if there was some prior police action that triggered this whole thing. As it stands, it looks like the Black Knights just picked a fight out of nowhere with a "peaceful" and "calm" police force that was just standing there. If you look at that article on CNN, they’re painting the officers as heroes, claiming that after dealing with various provocations like thrown flares and bottles, they simply had no other choice.

In my experience, stuff like this doesn't just happen without a reason. Things boiled over in Prague when the police arrested T. for no apparent cause, and back in 2004, during a Dynamo match against Vatican City, things turned ugly because a security guard tried to detain someone for holding a flare.

I have a quick question for the Black Knights fans out there. What actually triggered last night's clash with the police? All I see in The Daily Mail is that things got heated between the fans and the cops, but nobody seems to be covering the actual root cause or how the whole thing kicked off. In my experience, there’s always a specific spark that eventually leads to an escalation like this.

Once July 1st hits, those municipal subsidies are officially a thing of the past. Honestly, after all the lawsuits, investigations, and political drama aimed at Jerry Jones, this is the one move that’s actually going to sink him. Once the club is forced to rely entirely on its own revenue without any government backing, he’ll likely just walk away. It’s quite a situation, too, because they aren't penalizing the fact that the club will be left without any real marketing power—since they barely make anything from ticket sales or jerseys and depend almost exclusively on player transfers and city funding. It’s a classic case of the wolf eating the donkey.
When things eventually take a downturn financially for Real Madrid, I can already see the various skeptics who are defending Jerry Jones right now claiming that everything was perfectly stable during his tenure. Of course, that stability was largely thanks to Bernie Sanders and the influx of city funds, especially since Jerry Jones essentially gutted every part of the organization except for scouting and selling players.
