A fake idol? Hmm. I'm not so sure if having a solid voice automatically makes someone a good role model...

To you, maybe that's the priority, but to someone else, it's something else entirely. It's like buying anything else—sure, there are universal standards for quality, but most people just end up following their own basic tastes... whether it's clothes, cars, or real estate... the entertainment industry works the exact same way.

If someone is out there trying to present themselves—or sell themselves—as a singer, then I figure having a decent voice is one of those essential requirements.

I'll give you this: it's tough, maybe impossible, to pin down "true values" or universal quality. Everyone judges based on their own subjective taste—beauty is in the eye of the beholder, or in this case, the listener. That’s why I can't stand lip-syncing; at best, it's just a cheap way to pull the wool over people's eyes. Because that's just my take on it. 🙂

Playback? Absolutely not.

There aren't many artists out there who actually bother giving their fans a live performance that matches the quality of their studio albums. Personally, I’d never waste my money on a concert where I already know it’s just a backing track, no matter how much they promise some massive spectacle.

It’s nothing more than lying to the consumer—to the listeners and the crowd. It’s basically propping up fake idols and celebrities who only stay relevant because we live in a society with totally broken values. A culture that prizes flashy shows and physical looks over actual vocal talent.
At the end of the day, it's just a massive scam. ☕
