My original nose used to droop significantly whenever I smiled, so my first surgeon resected that specific muscle, and it worked wonders. But this second round? That’s where things went sideways. I went in to address some lingering issues from the first procedure, but it feels like the doctor did something that caused the tip to drop even further—lower than it ever was after the first surgery. Back then, the angle was around 100 degrees, which looked perfect, and the tip stayed stable even when I talked or laughed. Now, after this second operation, the tip has sagged, and everything just feels... overly elastic? I don't even know how to describe it. Essentially, it feels like I've been reset back to how I looked before the very first surgery, and I have absolutely no idea why. I’m planning to grill him about everything during my follow-up appointment in a few months, but honestly, I'm losing my mind; I feel like I'm just running in circles. They already told me upfront that I'll need another surgery, so I'm holding onto the hope that this third one will finally fix everything once and for all. This has to be the last time, regardless of the outcome.🙏
Which doctor did you see that caused things to get so complicated? I haven't heard of anyone experiencing that kind of tip drooping unless they were attempting some really drastic structural changes... 😕 Anyway, wishing you the best of luck!

Thanks, it was definitely worth all the effort. 🙂
I wanted to share my own experience, if only to give some encouragement to those who are still on the fence.
I had my surgery seven days ago—my nose looks wonderful and I can breathe perfectly fine. 🙂 I had a deviated septum and a dorsal hump, but my main focus wasn't on making it smaller; I prioritized symmetry and breathing. I chose Dr. Iva Džepina (located near the local equivalent of a famous rock legend's street). The doctor is truly exceptional. My criteria were simple: intuition and his track record (he spent 20 years at a major US teaching hospital, has years of private practice under his belt, and serves as an adjunct professor at a medical school). The staff was lovely, and the recovery suites were quite comfortable for sleeping. Two days after the procedure, they removed the nasal packing—piece of cake. Today I had the cast removed, and honestly, it wasn't bad at all. The first two days were a bit of a shock; I woke up from general anesthesia looking like a swollen frog with dark bruising, and I couldn't look at a TV screen or read anything. Since I suffer from allergies, breathing through my mouth wasn't a huge issue, but once that initial phase passed, the recovery was incredibly fast. In fact, I’m already planning a trip to the coast in a few days. I used cucumber slices and some ointment on the swelling around my eyes, which helped them fade quickly. Aside from those first two nights, I’ve been sleeping normally on my side just like I love to do, eating whatever I want without any guilt, and letting my aunt spoil me. Even though my face feels a tiny bit stiff, I can laugh normally and I don't have to hold my nose. 😂 I first considered this surgery four years ago, but college obligations kept pushing it off the table. That changed two weeks ago when I realized I could finally squeeze it into my summer break. About a day and a half before the surgery (back then, I hadn't even decided on a surgeon yet, though I had consultations lined up), I came onto this forum, and looking back, it was the best decision to get it over with. I feel fantastic. I think summer is actually the perfect time for these procedures because everything heals faster, and the salt water helps reduce swelling. I actually got pretty lucky with the scheduling; the doctor had a last-minute opening the day after our consultation. Everyone else was booked out for weeks, and I didn't want to miss my chance and end up awkwardly covering my nose at the beach. So here I am—me and my new nose are officially best friends. 😁

Thanks. Honestly, there’s one thing that’s really weighing on my mind—the lack of guarantees from plastic surgeons. What happens if things don't go according to plan and you end up with some kind of asymmetry or deviation? I can't help but wonder what my recourse would be. Is there any actual assurance that the same doctor will step in to fix it, or am I going to get hit with a massive bill for a "revision" surgery? Has anyone here actually gone through this? Does a surgeon out there actually offer a guarantee?

I honestly have no idea. Someone mentioned on a different forum that he completely messed things up for a girl—basically left her exactly where she started—and there's this student at university who keeps bringing up Doe, though I can't remember which one specifically. To be perfectly honest, I’m totally out of my depth here. I have every intention of finding someone, but I don't know the landscape at all. I've heard names like Brown, then Johnson, then John Doe (twice), Thomas, and Davis... but I haven't a clue who they actually work with. I'm not being overly critical of myself; I think I hold my own quite well, but I am a bit of a John Doe when it comes to these standards.

After all the struggles I went through with my surgery—all those headaches and the constant discomfort—seeing such a natural, beautiful result makes it all worth it. And my sister? She looks absolutely stunning.
I’m almost at a loss for words regarding the surgeon. He is truly one of a kind. So gentle, so attentive, and incredibly precise. He takes the time to explain every single step, and he’s just such a kind person. Even though he works tirelessly from sunrise to sunset, he stays so upbeat and energetic.
DAVID DOE RULES 🙂 Anyone who ends up under his care is genuinely lucky...
Oh, and one more thing... I can breathe like a freaking DRAGON! If anyone wants the details, just send me a PM. I won't be following this thread much longer.
I'm new to this forum. I'm a bit confused because there seem to be two different threads about Doe, and everyone is praising him in both. One focuses on his work with Johnson (who I've seen on TV with that distinct voice) based out of Washington, D.C., and the other one seems centered around the area near Vukovar.
