Hey everyone, I’d really appreciate it if someone could help me out with a question... I went in for a checkup the other day—it’s been about six months since my surgery—and the doctor told me to come back on a Friday for some kind of hydrocortisone injections (??), sorry, I might not have spelled that right. He said there’s some fluid buildup at the tip, and that the injection might actually make the tip swell up a bit at first, but then everything should settle down. He also said I'll need to take it easy for two days... Has anyone else gone through something like this? I'm talking about the Actor.
I honestly have no clue what to expect from this injection, and I didn't really grasp what he was saying either—he was throwing so many medical terms around lol.🤷
Rachel Martinez94....look, I didn't exactly have a choice here. They pushed my surgery up by two whole weeks out of nowhere! I was backed into a corner with the timing and had to pay the price, damn it.
Rachel Martinez94, I’ll try to get those photos over to you ASAP. As for the cost, Smith is charging 2000 bucks. He’s also insisting on a full workup—not just bloodwork, but testing for hepatitis and all that other crap. I ended up doing all my testing privately at $200 through a specialist he recommended, because honestly, I didn't have the patience to deal with the absolute nightmare of waiting around in hospital lines for a month.
Rachel Martinez94, listen, I actually had my surgery done by Glumičić, and I can tell you firsthand that the guy does incredible noses—at least if you ask me. It’s total BS to say he doesn't care about "regular" patients. He gave me a better result than Pišeki, Blankin, or anyone else.
The guy has his own signature style, but look—if you don't want that perfectly straight, textbook nose (and trust me, some people do...), you have to be extremely blunt with him. Otherwise, he’s just going to do what he thinks looks best.
I told him right before the procedure that I wanted it as small as possible, and honestly? He killed it. He really went above and beyond... okay, maybe I'm rambling a bit... but basically, the people who aren't happy with Glumičić are probably just super insecure and chasing impossible perfection. This man is the absolute king of rhinoplasty.☕

Alright, here—putting this out there for anyone who actually wants to read it. Maybe someone here will finally find some answers to their questions.
Basically, what Trump is getting at is that rhinoplasty results aren't just about how they set your bones. A huge part of it comes down to your skin quality... If you have thick skin, you’re going to be waiting forever to see the actual results. But if you’re lucky enough to have thin skin? You're golden, because everything settles into place after just a few months.☕
Hey everyone dealing with this thickened skin issue—is it actually worth my time to go get that lymphatic drainage massage to work on this area six months post-op, or am I just chasing some fairy tale?🙂
Taylor Miller10, of course it’s going to deflate... don't kill yourself overthinking it. Honestly, it's just way too early. Your skin hasn't even had a chance to settle back into place yet... plus you're still dealing with a ton of swelling. Just chill out and give it at least a few weeks. I'm telling you, I've been there.😛
Look, people, seriously—don't lose your minds if your nose looks a little crooked or if one nostril seems slightly bigger than the other. It’s totally normal! Some folks bounce back fast and their nose settles into its final shape in maybe 3 or 4 months after surgery, but others (like me, for example) have to wait a full year before everything finally falls into place....☕
Guys, please help me out! I seriously need some comfort right now... T_T
It’s been about four or five months since my surgery, and I was fully expecting things to have settled down by now—you know, like the swelling goes down and everything actually starts looking normal.
BUT it feels like the exact opposite is happening. It looks worse than ever... Just for context, I went to this rookie surgeon, but honestly, he did everything he possibly could—removed the hump, lifted the tip, slimmed it down. When I first saw myself after the splint came off, my nose looked smaller than it's ever been. The tip was tight and petite, but then the "bloating" started. Now, it literally looks like a potato. It's all swollen and looks like it's drooping just because of the inflammation. When is this going to go away??? It’s been almost half a year! When I went for my checkup last month, he told me I just have thicker skin, and that's why... what does that even mean? Does it mean my tip is never going to look right? I just want it to look the way it did immediately after the surgery!!! I’m freaking out a little because I’ve been massaging it and doing everything, but nothing seems to be helping... Has anyone else dealt with this bloated, puffy tip because of thick skin?!
Hey guys, I’ve got another question for you!
It’s been almost three months since my surgery, and now I’m dealing with this annoying issue where the bridge of my nose looks flat, but the tip is all swollen and sticking out.
I’m guessing it looks this way because I haven't been massaging it or getting any lymphatic drainage done. :/
Is it too late to go for one or two sessions now? Or is there even any point in bothering, since it should probably start settling down on its own around this stage anyway?🙂
Thanks in advance.
Look, I’ve already posted this exact same thing before, but absolutely nobody got back to me....
Is my nose actually stable enough three months post-op to handle a little bump (like if I hit it in my sleep), or even just heavy yawning, or those crazy vibrations from riding a Greyhound bus lol and stuff like that??
I mean, could any of that mess with my nasal tip? It still feels kind of sensitive and shaky, you know??? Please, if any of you have been through this or know anything at all, let me know. Thanks!😁
Look, I get it—this thread is super detailed and there have probably been a million posts about this already.
But, I seriously need some help here.
I’ve got a few questions... basically, about two and a half months ago, I had nose surgery at a private clinic (it was purely cosmetic, no deviated septum issues or anything, btw I'm 17).
Well, summer is winding down now and I’m trying to figure out if my nose has actually changed since the beginning of the season.
1. My biggest issue is still smiling. My nose used to be really droopy, but now it’s quite lifted, and I think the muscle just went through a lot of stress 🙄—I still feel so stiff! Honestly, I look ridiculous when I smile. Plus, there's this pulling sensation whenever I laugh from the heart, and it drives me crazy. I always find myself holding my nose while I laugh because I'm terrified something is going to stretch or shift. So, if anyone else has dealt with this, can I actually laugh freely despite that tightness without worrying the tip will drop or something??!!!🤷I know I'm being paranoid, but after 17 years of living with a nose that was practically a stump... you have to understand where I'm coming from!
2. The tip of my nose is still kind of sensitive to the touch and looks slightly swollen, though other people don't even notice. But I see it when I lean into the mirror and really inspect it.
Do you guys think that's normal too?🙄I can't wait for the swelling at the tip to go down because right now I look like I got stung by a bee... right on the tip of my nose...😠
Help me out, thanks in advance....
