Messaging vs. Email vs. Snail Mail: Which is best?

Up until now, I have merely "utilized" 😍 instant messaging, though the term feels somewhat trivial when discussing the art of correspondence. To be perfectly honest, my heart would much prefer the traditional method—writing letters (yes, those tangible things made of paper 👍).
When one communicates via MSN, Yahoo, Google, or similar platforms, it simply lacks depth. Events unfold with such frantic speed that the profound sense of connection that true correspondence ought to provide is utterly lost.
Perhaps I am simply old-fashioned, but I wonder, what are your thoughts on this matter?
A few years ago, I actually wrote a letter to a guy I had a crush on and tucked it under his windshield wiper. It was an anonymous note; we didn't even know each other at the time, but I left my phone number.
Eventually, we began talking via text message.
Back in the day, I used to exchange plenty of letters with other kids from all over the country through magazines like *Seventeen* or *Tiger Beat*, where they used to publish mailing addresses.
Personally, I find it quite charming, and I admit I am a bit old-fashioned when it comes to that particular kind of intimacy.
I still enjoy sending quick texts, too.
