Can I bring my medication on a plane?

I’m heading out to Poland on September 11th for a five-day trip, and I was wondering if anyone knows the deal with bringing over over-the-counter stuff. I mean things like basic painkillers, headache meds, vitamins, and that kind of thing. I know you obviously need a prescription for the heavy-duty stuff, but for regular OTC meds, am I going to run into any issues getting them through airport security or crossing the border into another country?
