Kimberly Hughes17 said:Hey girls, does anyone have some experience they could share... will it be an issue if I'm on my 5th day of my cycle on the day of surgery? (That’s basically the end of it). It wasn't how I planned things, everything just got a little thrown off...
Thanks in advance

If you're at a private clinic, it shouldn't be an issue at all. However, if you're at a major hospital, there's no way they'll operate while you're still on your period, even if it's just the last day... why don't you just give them a call and ask?😁
Nicole Ortiz34 said:It’s been exactly three weeks. The tip is swollen, but everything else has settled down. I look terrible, and the worst part is having to wait another six months for the follow-up surgery. 😢 Having a worse nose after surgery is absolutely devastating; when I finally see the doctor, they're going to hear me out! Honestly, I'm considering suing for emotional distress and the absolute wreck my appearance is right now :/ It looks exactly the same, except now the hump is even more prominent—it's a real masterpiece of disaster

🙂

Hmm... three weeks is way too early to make a final call. I hit the three-week mark this Wednesday myself. The bump is definitely there, but I’m still holding onto hope that it’s just localized swelling from where they were working on it :-D Hey, shoot me a DM so we can swap photos and compare...
Nicole Ortiz34 said:My nose isn't swollen anymore, but that thing is still right there... It’s just so hard, and honestly, it looks even bigger and more prominent than before. I am LITERALLY dying! I know I'll have to go back for a revision surgery, because apparently, I'm just that lucky 😢

So, how long has it been since the surgery?
Nicole Ortiz34 said:I recently had my nose surgery in Miami... I was actually feeling pretty great on day one because the nose looked a bit smaller, everything seemed perfect. But then the next morning, that little bump I used to have was right back there again. My nose looks just as long as it did before, and honestly, I'm feeling totally devastated. 🙂 I'm wondering if anyone else has dealt with their bump reappearing? Will the swelling go down, or am I going to need a revision surgery? 🤷 I'm just so upset and spiraling right now.

Don't lose hope. It happened to me too—right after the cast came off, the nose looked flawless, but by the second morning, that bump was back, looking swollen from every angle. Usually, things should start settling down after about two months. It hasn't fully cleared up for me yet, but every single day it gets slightly better and better.😉
Maria Jones84 said::Oh, I am so sorry to hear that. For me, the day after the cast came off, things felt different too—kind of swollen and high up, then it settled down after a few days, but nothing got deformed. I have some swelling right at the tip, almost toward the middle, and on the left side, that little arch near my eyebrow appeared, while the right side is still pretty flat and firm. You can't see it with the naked eye, but you can definitely feel it if you touch it. Since my nose and tear ducts are sore, it feels slightly swollen to the touch, though it’s just a tiny bit. People who don't know I had surgery can't even tell; even my mom tells me every day how much everything is slimming down and refining. Anyway, what do you mean by "deformed"? Don't panic, give it at least another week or so before you worry..

So, basically, on the day I finally got the cast removed, my nose looked perfect. No bump, slim profile, and the tip stayed totally normal since they didn't even touch that part. But then, the very next day? It was swollen and felt hard under my fingers on the sides. That bump started peeking through again—obviously way smaller than before—and there's this weird little lump in the upper section. Overall, the profile still looks great, but looking straight on... it still looks more like a pear than a nose🙂. Honestly, I'm really hoping it's just inflammation. They were beating around my nose quite a bit during the procedure, so maybe it'll all smooth out over the next two months. I'm trying not to spiral, but tomorrow marks two weeks since the surgery. I know everyone heals differently, but 🤷
Maria Jones84, please, can you describe that swelling a bit for me? My nose looked absolutely perfect right after I had the cast removed, but now it’s looking a little distorted. I don't think it's a total disaster, but I’m seeing signs of a hump again and the side is all swollen. I'm really hoping it's just inflammation because nothing actually hurts—I'm not feeling any blue moods about the pain... but how does that swelling feel? Is it soft or firm?
My doctor told me I need to be patient for at least two months because things are going to shift and change every single day, but I have to admit, I’m incredibly impatient and getting a little anxious. I’d love to hear about your experiences if you don't mind.

Also, I know I mentioned I’d post some pictures, but my excitement over this new nose has taken a bit of a hit lately. Plus, what you see now isn't exactly the final reality, so those photos will have to wait a little longer...
Well, I finally took the cast off... and honestly? Total shock. It’s a complete transformation. I really didn't think what the doctor pulled off was actually possible. At my request, they kept my nose looking like *my* nose, just more refined, symmetrical, and elegant... Just a little more patience and I'll get some photos posted for you all.
Maria Jones84 said:I figured I’d write down my own experience for anyone still sitting on the fence. I’ve been obsessing over nose surgery for ages; that little bump was bothering me, and from the front, my nose always looked way too wide. After endless procrastinating, scrolling through forums, and talking to people who had already gone through it, I finally pulled the trigger with Dr. Toncic Clinic, and honestly, I couldn't have made a better choice. I consulted with Dr. Dinko, we worked out the details, and my date was set for February 12th. On the actual day of the surgery, I was actually a bit terrified because of all those horror stories about local anesthesia—but looking back, it was totally unjustified. Once the doctor gave me the final rundown, I headed toward the OR. The nurses were so sweet and cheerful; they created such a warm atmosphere that you relax almost instantly. They gave me something to calm my nerves in the IV and applied a local anesthetic in my nose. It doesn't hurt at all; it just stings for a few seconds, then everything goes numb and you don't feel a thing. I remember the surgery itself mostly as a hazy, semi-conscious blur. When it was over, a nurse literally took me by the arm and escorted me to a room where I drifted off for about three hours with cold compresses over my eyes. By 2:00 PM, I was headed home. I had to go back in three days later to get the packing removed. As soon as I got home, I propped my bed up high. I didn't have any pain at all—not in my head, not in my nose. The only weird part was eating for those first three days since you can't smell or taste anything, but that passes quickly. They gave me a sheet with emergency contact numbers and two pain pills that I didn't even end up needing. On the second day, the nurse Vesna actually called me just to check in and see how my first night went. I didn't end up with any bruising, though on the fourth day, I had a tiny bit of discoloration near my right eye that mostly cleared up by day six. Today is day seven, and I went in to have the casts removed. Since they used a closed technique, the stitches are inside the nose and they just eventually dissolve/fall out on their own. I couldn't wait to get in front of a mirror... and oh my god, what a beautiful, perfectly shaped little nose! At first glance, I'm absolutely thrilled—obviously! The profile is straight, the tip is slightly lifted, it looks slender from the front, and my whole face just looks softer and more delicate. I have a follow-up in two months, and while there's still a tiny bit of swelling, it's minimal. Honestly, if someone had told me this process would be this easy and painless, I would have done it years ago! Huge kudos to the nurses, who are wonderful, and of course to Dr. Dinko, who truly listened to what I wanted and crafted a nose that is nothing short of perfect. Highly recommend to anyone who is hesitant. 🙂

Maria, it is so incredibly heartening and encouraging to read about your experience. I actually had my surgery just one day after yours! I'm getting my casts removed tomorrow and I am an absolute wreck of nerves and excitement—I have no idea how I'm going to make it through the night. I'm really hoping I end up just as happy as you are. Best wishes! 🙂
Rachel Vaughn85 said:If you don't mind me asking, who actually performed the surgery? 🙂
PS. I’m really pulling for the best possible outcome here! 🙂

Thanks, and I’m really hoping for the best too... Mary laid everything out perfectly. I actually went to see Dr. Toncic myself, and honestly, my experience was exactly what she described. Now, the only thing left is to see if I end up just as happy with the final result. I’m getting the mold removed tomorrow... wish me luck! 🙂))
Hello, I figured I’d jump in here and share my own experience. I had surgery today in NYC (specifically my bump and the tip of my nose), and honestly, because I was so terrified beforehand, everything went surprisingly well. It actually went so smoothly that I’m starting to wonder if they even touched my nose at all—or if they just pocketed the cash and slapped a Band-Aid on it. 😉 For the most part, there's no pain, no bruising, and I can eat totally normally. They used local anesthesia enhanced with something else, so I was conscious through the whole procedure; I even opened my eyes a few times, and I think I might have even said something (though my memory is a bit hazy, like I was dreaming). Once the surgery was over, I made dozens of phone calls, and now that I'm back home, I feel great. I’m eagerly counting down the days until they remove the molds in a week, and I'm really hoping the results stay this positive. If they do, I’ll be more than happy to share some before and after photos and give a glowing recommendation for the doctor. Best wishes to everyone!!
