And I’m supposed to graduate soon—does my supplemental coverage just expire automatically once I do, or what? Thanks a million!
Hello everyone!
I'm turning 26 soon, and I have a deviated septum—my doctor actually told me it’s visible from an airplane 😁. Since I didn't want to deal with surgery last year when she was pushing for it during my school deadlines, and now that I've finally finished college, she’s actually retired. So, I’m left without much guidance on how to proceed.
First off, I assume I'll have to pay out of pocket since I'm an adult now. Is that right? I do have health insurance and supplemental coverage.
Secondly, where would be the best place to get this done? Indianapolis is definitely out of the question because I've heard some pretty bad horror stories about the facilities there; maybe somewhere near Brod? Does anyone have recommendations for a specific surgeon? I am open to any and all advice. 🙂
What kind of price range should I expect?
Also, for those of you who have undergone this procedure, did anyone end up needing a blood transfusion due to complications?
I think that covers everything for now.
And one more thing—is this truly necessary? I mean, I've managed to live with this for 26 years; can I just keep going? It does make breathing a bit difficult, the right side of my nose feels constantly blocked :/ and I suffer from snoring while I sleep. 🙂
Thanks, everyone! 😉
