Honestly, I think it’s different for everyone... we don't all react to the same stuff in the same way, obviously.
I know girls who were back to normal almost instantly, while for others, the stretching and healing took a full year. The irony is that some of them actually recovered faster even after more complicated procedures:🤷🤷
but that's just how life works, right?
Maybe try to remember how you usually bounce back from, say, a basic bump or a fall—just to get a sense of what kind of person you're dealing with here.🙂
Some people just need a little extra time, but at the end of the day, it's the final result that matters.😉))
Hopefully yours turns out beautiful (just like mine—ha, ha, ha).

-=iG=surgery=-

Haha
I actually had mine done on Tuesday—took the tampons out on Friday, and by next Friday the bandages come off.
I seriously can't wait!!!!!
Right now, I just feel like a little purple-and-yellow habanero pepper.😉)
Hopefully we won't have any issues when we finally see what we look like after all this stuff is gone.🙂)
George Ramos11 said:Samuel Reyes26... look, sitting in an armchair isn't going to fix anything. Just pick up the phone, send over some photos, get some actual info. Go in for a consultation. Maybe try this—take the bill, go back to the doctor who did the surgery, and tell them to make it right, regardless of the circumstances. You paid for a service, and we all know those medical bills aren't cheap...

Did you actually have nose surgery?
Are you happy with it?!
Samuel Reyes26 said:I’ve been working at it every single day for a year and a half, and nothing—absolutely nothing!
It’s shrunk a bit compared to when I started, but you can still see those little leftover
crunchy bits.
I didn't even have this issue at first; it just developed over time.
I have no clue where it came from, but I just want it gone!
I knew this would happen to me—I just knew it!
I always mess things up. It’s like the universe is out to get me; I’m such a magnet for bad luck!!!😠😢😢

OH MAN!!!
Can you actually see that when looking from the profile view or straight on?
I’ve heard stories about how, when viewed from the side, bones that were broken don't heal quite right, leaving some kind of protrusion or a divot. But I’ve never heard of anyone having issues where that cartilage part gets flattened out or looks like a tiny slide or a saddle...
Honestly, I’m pretty shaken up right now—I have absolutely no clue what my nose is actually going to look like. Right now, it just looks wide, huge, and even kind of bumpy in profile. I’ve got all these little medical tapes plastered over my nose... I’m telling you this because, my god, my nose looks like a massive, wide slab at the moment. But the doctor—right after the surgery, during the checkup—described it in detail as a small, slightly upturned nose. So, that was what they actually saw and settled on toward the end of the procedure, specifically before they put the packing in...
He told me that both of them agreed that this shape fits my face, eyes, mouth, and beard perfectly.
Basically, they were looking at what I’ll obviously be seeing for myself in about 2-3 weeks. It feels weird to me that they finished your surgery while being fully aware that you had a bump. Still, these plastic surgeons—even the minor details don't slip past them. It’s really strange that you have a bump now when you didn't before.
Maybe it’s just massive swelling and you need some lymphatic drainage to get everything to settle down.
driftingsurfer96 said:Yeah, that’s exactly why I went to see the Vinogradski Expert—I’d heard nothing but glowing reviews. And look, regarding my surgeon and the septum correction, I don't have any complaints there. Of course, there's still a bit of swelling, obviously. But this? This is a literal hump. I don't even know how to describe it... I started with a slightly larger nose that just needed smoothing out, basically just "leveling" the bridge. But now I actually have this hideous bump, and my nose looks like something straight out of a witch movie. It feels rock hard to the touch, too—like bone. It's like someone just glued a lump right where it wasn't before.
I spent all of yesterday in tears, just totally devastated. I'm going to talk to my doctor to see what can be done about it. I mean, if I paid for a cosmetic procedure, I have every right to demand it be fixed if it wasn't done correctly. At least, that's how I see it. I wasn't asking for an Angelina Jolie nose, but if the plastic surgeon couldn't fix it, he should have just said no when my doctor asked, instead of leaving me with this mess.

I nearly lost my mind five years ago when, after a month, I realized my nose looked worse than it did before surgery—not better, not even the same, just plain uglier!!! Back then, I was getting polyps cleared out, and there were tons of them. The surgery lasted three hours and I know it was complicated... After it was over, I was just happy to finally breathe through my nose and smell things again, and my headaches were gone, so I guess I forgave them for the aesthetic mistake.
But let's be real, your situation isn't quite the same thing as mine; you specifically wanted the plastic surgeon to make it look prettier.
Fast forward five years, and I just went to a private specialist to "smooth out the bump—it's minor," and I'm looking forward to taking the bandages off in five days.
It sounds like some kind of issue happened with the cartilage, though I don't get how you ended up with a hump. Usually, people end up with a dip—like they're missing a piece in that saddle area—because you're supposed to take cartilage from somewhere else to balance everything out... but having an extra lump? I haven't heard of that.
Don't give up, seriously!!!!!!
The thought of another surgery is probably terrifying, but you have to deal with this—they owe you a fix. If you don't mind me asking, which doctor are we talking about?
Stay strong, because you're going to live with this for the rest of your life—either with the hump or without it!!!🙏
Good God!!!
Is this even possible?? I’d always heard that Dr. Dzepina and Dr. Bedekovic were absolutely top-tier... especially when it comes to plastic surgery...
She needs to fight for what she's owed... I honestly don't get how something like this can actually happen.
Back when I had Boduen work on my sinus issues—polyps, basically—my nose ended up looking way worse aesthetically. But at least I knew I wasn't seeing a plastic surgeon there, so they weren't trying to "fix" my looks... they just went way too aggressive on the septum to reach those sinuses, which left me with this bruise under the skin and a little bump, plus my tip looked shortened...
Well, I just went back under the knife again. It’s been three days, and I think they actually fixed the look of it—though I can't really tell yet since it's still covered by bandages...
Fight for yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, here I am, two days post-op...
Everything went smoothly—general anesthesia, waking up, the whole deal. They really took good care of me, treated me like royalty...
Right now, my head is pounding, and my nose is killing me too. There's this constant drainage from my nose down my throat that’s just incredibly irritating, but I'm hoping it clears up soon.
Anyway, I'm popping Voltaren because the pain is actually pretty intense.😢
They didn't have to break any side bones or anything; they just smoothed out the cartilage where that bump was. Because of that, I don't have much bruising, and I'm not stuck in a massive cast or anything—just some "special" medical tape holding everything in place. Tomorrow I go in to get the packing removed, and honestly, I'm looking forward to finally being able to breathe through my nose, even if it's just a little bit.
Best regards,😉
analogotter6 said:I’ve heard about Dr. Miller—is he doing private practice or are you heading to the hospital?
how did you find him?
It’ll all turn out 🙂🙂🙂

Hy,
I'm going private... though I'm a bit of a special case. My sinuses are completely packed with polyps, and I actually had surgery for them once before in NYC, over at Vinogradski.
On top of all that, I've got a deviated septum and a little bump on my profile, so this time around, I decided to go for an aesthetic correction too. Five years ago in NYC, I wasn't interested in touching the looks of it, but now I'm thinking—since I'm already under general anesthesia and they have to clear out the polyps anyway, why not make things look a little better?🙄
I actually asked them to do it so it doesn't look fake, just a bit more refined.😛
I'm hoping everything turns out exactly how I want—looking good, sure—but honestly, the main thing is just being able to breathe through my nose, smell things again, and stop having a tissue constantly glued to my hand.
I've always been a big fan of aesthetics, but when you can't even breathe properly, your looks become a secondary concern.
I'll let you guys know how it goes... my only real fear is that the nose might end up looking too small for my face and just won't fit.😕
POZZZZ
It’s honestly good to see everyone stepping up to support one another with such encouraging words. I’ll make sure to keep you all posted on every little detail—hopefully, it helps some of you along.
I’m actually skipping Smith; instead, Dr. Miller and Kurtovic are teaming up for the surgery. One is a top-tier ENT and the other is a specialist in plastic surgery.
I'm seriously crossing my fingers for a positive, happy outcome.🙂
The date is getting closer...
Her nose looks totally caricatured now—it’s like this long slide that suddenly drops off into a tiny little ping pong ball at the tip. Honestly, it’s just not working... it doesn't look "artificial" or even "piggy," it just looks weird and, frankly, pretty bad.
The doctor told her that when he started the procedure, her nose practically fell apart because she probably had some massive weight loss crash during her diet—but let's be real, who hasn't struggled with their weight at some point in their life?
I feel for my friend because she's absolutely devastated by all this, and honestly, none of us can lie about how it looks.
I guess anything can happen unexpectedly, and at the end of the day, doctors are just people who can make mistakes too...
I really hope this doesn't happen to me; I have my own surgery coming up in five days, and I'm just praying everything turns out smooth and beautiful.🙂
To be honest, I haven't heard anything but bad things about Smith😢
I even know someone who had nose surgery with him—it looks terrible now. Like, what’s the point of trying to fix things in NYC?
I hope once you finally get those casts and bandages off, you're just as happy as you are right now.
Olivia Wood82 said:Does anyone know what the damage is for a septum surgery over at the Gulic Clinic?
General anesthesia. The doctor’s predicting I’ll be stuck in the hospital for five days.

Hospital procedures are free—you just need your doctor to give you a referral to an ENT specialist. Once you're in their system, they’ll basically fix your deviated septum and throw in some cosmetic work to make it look better while they're at it.👍
Usually, you’re looking at being stuck in the hospital for about 5 to 7 days—and more often than not, it involves general anesthesia.

By the way, if you don't actually have issues with your nose functioning properly and just want to tweak it for aesthetics—don't go overboard. You don't want to end up in a situation where you can't breathe at night because you started snoring like crazy...
It’s pretty rare to find someone whose septum is naturally centered enough to just breeze through that without any issues.🙂
swifteagle16 said:Well, figured I’d jump in here and share my recent experience. I actually just had my nose surgery yesterday with Glumicic. Sinisa and his whole crew were incredibly professional and kind—everything went super smoothly. When you wake up after the procedure, it’s such a light, natural feeling; there was zero nausea, and honestly, it didn't even feel like I'd been under. Major props to the anesthesiologist! 👍

Even the post-op pain isn't too bad, and of course, they give you some prescription painkillers to manage it. The only real annoyance is dealing with the packing and that stuffed-up feeling—I am seriously counting down the hours until those tampons come out tomorrow! Apparently, everything gets way easier once they’re gone. I am also dealing with quite a bit of bleeding from my nose and down my throat. My nurse tried to comfort me when she called, mentioning that it’s totally normal to go through as many seven gauze pads on the first day.

I guess some people are lucky enough not to deal with much swelling. Personally, I’ve got some pretty intense bruising and my eyes are super swollen right now, but I know it'll pass eventually. 🙂
Right now, my biggest anxiety is whether the nose will heal correctly and if I’ll somehow mess anything up. Glumicic seemed really happy with how the surgery went—he even told me the nose looks "perfect" as it stands. Since I tend to worry about every little thing anyway, I can't help but stress over whether it'll actually turn out that way!

I have three friends who all went to Glumicic for their noses.
It turned out perfect for every single one of them, and he doesn't just use a cookie-cutter approach—he doesn't do the same thing for everyone.
The results blended beautifully with their faces...
Just don't think it's all settled immediately; they were actually pretty unhappy during those first couple of months because the nose doesn't take its true shape until later. It’ll likely take about six months to gradually settle in. And don't be surprised if you look like a little piglet for a while, especially if you went for a tip job.🙂👍
I had surgery to remove sinus polyps at the Gulic Clinic about five years ago—under general anesthesia—and everything went perfectly smoothly. But just be ready for that day when you wake up; you'll spend about twelve hours in the ICU under constant supervision.
So, I’d say just go with the general one.
I'm planning to get some cosmetic work done and fix my septum in about ten months—plus, I’m definitely heading in for the general exam.
I'm thinking about getting some cosmetic work done on my nose—just a little tweak, really—so I've got an appointment at the end of nine months with Dr. Dzepina over at the Vingradska Clinic in Chicago. I've heard he's a solid ENT and plastic surgeon.
If anyone here actually knows his work or happened to have an experience with him, please let me know.
Thanks so much 🙂
