So, I’ve been trying to get my phone or tablet to mirror its screen onto my TV box—essentially projecting everything onto the big screen.

The setup involves an iPhone 15 running the TV box, which naturally supports AirPlay, along with a Galaxy A series phone and an older iPad that features a direct Wi-Fi option...

My process is pretty straightforward: I activate AirPlay on the box, and while it's scanning for available devices, I turn on the direct Wi-Fi on either my phone or tablet. They seem to pair with the box perfectly fine, following every step as expected... but the moment the connection is established, all I get is a black screen😠 that lingers for about ninety seconds before the TV box simply gives up, cuts the connection, and goes right back to searching for a device to pair with.

Where am I missing the mark here? Is there some additional configuration required on the phone or tablet side beyond just enabling that direct Wi-Fi connection? I’ve followed every online tutorial to the letter, yet the results remain the same.

Is it really possible that the Galaxy A series isn't quite up to the task of handling this kind of connection, or perhaps the iPad is just too outdated since it's already three years old?

Does anyone know if there’s an alternative method for mirroring a mobile device to a TV box that doesn't rely on AirPlay?
