I’ve been living with diabetes for five months now, and I'm wondering how the process works for getting an insulin pump from my doctor. I’ve heard you need to have pretty difficult blood sugar levels to qualify. My numbers are relatively stable, though I deal with frequent lows between 50 and 70 mg/dL, while my usual range sits between 70 and 125. I’m curious if I actually stand a chance at getting a pump, or if I should just brace myself for a "no." I’d appreciate hearing your thoughts or any experiences you can share.
