Questions about HIV

Richard Lewis said:I had an encounter with someone who—to put it bluntly—is high-risk and morally questionable. We used protection, but there was a moment where oral sex lasted maybe three seconds without a condom. Mathematically, the chance she has HIV is 0.05, and my odds of actually catching it? Maybe 0.00005. But still, it’s eating at me. Honestly, this might be more of a psychology issue than a medical one, because I’ve spiraled into this total paranoid hypochondriac overnight 🙂 even though I haven't dealt with any health anxiety at all in the last six months. I just need someone to talk some sense into me 🙂
Look, the smartest move is to just go get tested, then go back and do it again in about three months. Once you have those results, you can actually breathe and know exactly where you stand. Trying to play the "what if" game or obsessing over math isn't going to help you... just take a breath, focus, and go get the testing done.
