First off, I am so incredibly sorry to hear about your friend passing away from cancer. Regarding that feeling he had—like he couldn't catch his breath in enclosed spaces—I don't think he was hallucinating. It sounds much more like claustrophobia or maybe even a panic attack. Speaking as someone without a medical degree, I really don't think that's a symptom of a physical illness itself.

You’ve listed a whole bunch of things here that don't seem to connect. It feels a bit contradictory to say you're worried about health issues when, for instance, you haven't been to a gynecologist in eight years. If I were in your shoes, my advice would be to just head to your primary care doctor and lay out all these symptoms. They can then refer you for more specific testing if they see a need. Honestly, getting your blood work, urine, and stool checked—plus that annual OB-GYN visit—should be part of everyone's routine at least once a year, regardless of whether you're feeling under the weather or not.

Personally? I suspect this might all stem from depression, anxiety, or just chronic fatigue. I truly hope everything turns out okay. I’m probably the last person who should be giving out medical advice—considering I feel like I have the symptoms of twenty different ailments myself—but it’s always so much easier to "read" someone else than it is to figure yourself out.
