Look, honey, that tonic did more than just work... it practically set the place on fire. 😉 😁

Is NASA's time running out? in Formula 1 ·
Ferrari's Rubens Barrichello might end up missing VN Brazil next weekend if the team can't figure out how to make the NASA safety device any less of a nightmare to wear.

Barrichello struggled immensely with the NASA system during the season opener, and his crash in Australia was blamed squarely on the intense pain caused by the gear. When the race rolled around in Malaysia, he didn't have to wear the NASA device because the FIA made an exception due to the physical toll it was taking on him. But don't count on them being lenient again; the FIA isn't interested in making exceptions anymore.
"If a driver can't wear the NASA device for health reasons or anything else, the team needs to find a replacement, because starting this season, we’re treating the NASA device with the same strictness as a helmet or seatbelts" — according to the official FIA statement.

Now Ferrari is stuck between a rock and a hard place since Barrichello clearly isn't up for dealing with the device.
"We've been testing this new safety system constantly and haven't run into major issues aside from what happened in Australia. Still, if one of our drivers can't handle the NASA device, we'll start bringing in a reserve driver for the races" — a Ferrari spokesperson noted.

Ferrari's usual third man is Luc Badoer. However, the Italian has dealt with two pretty nasty accidents during testing over the last month, so it looks like his fellow countryman, the young Felipe Massa, might be the one stepping in for Barrichello in Brazil.

Raymond Palmer8 said:Good grief. Apparently, when women drive their Fords at high speeds, men just can't keep up. If they actually wanted to solve that little issue once and for all instead of just dealing with it every now and then, they’d probably need a man to step in and help them out anyway.😎

Unbelievable... what a total chauvinist. 😛 😎

It’s a decision that's pretty damn obvious... if anyone actually knows a thing or two about aerodynamics, then it's definitely going to be the women... 😁 😛

By the way, I’d really appreciate it if you didn't start your thousandth thread about the exact same race... there's already a dedicated topic for the United States Grand Prix, so you can just go clutter that up instead...

just wondering how much Ferrari is paying you to play their defense attorney??

Nobody’s paying me a dime... I just have this thing about people constantly tearing them down. I don't go around trashing the other teams, so I can't really stand watching everyone take shots at Ferrari either... that's all there is to it.

Q, if I had to sum you up in one word, it would be—get lost. 😛

Arthur Taylor5, you ever heard of actual strategy?

It’s honestly wild how some parasites can't even get through a conversation without taking shots at Ferrari or Schumacher... 🙄

Billing issues at O.K. Coral in Formula 1 ·
After a lengthy consultation with the Council of Elders (which was really just me talking to myself in the mirror), I’ve come to the realization that this thread isn't going to yield any actual insights into how Michael Schumacher pulled off that miracle last week, so I'm pulling the plug on this discussion.

Drew Anderson3 said:They're basically promising to sweep the championships by 2006. What's your take?

Honestly, it’s within the realm of possibility if they play their cards right. We really need to see how they handle themselves this season first, but if they actually get their act together and smooth out the kinks, they could easily be looking at a title run by 2006. I remember Flavio Briatore was already talking up this exact timeline last season, so it's not exactly news to those of us who have been watching this circus for a while.

Q-master said:Mika Hakkinen beat Michael Schumacher twice and still walked away with a world title, all while being paid about a quarter of what the guy was pulling.

Mika Hakkinen beat Michael Schumacher once because he was genuinely the better driver, and then he did it again simply because Schumacher broke his leg halfway through the season.
Whatever. You’ve gotta hand it to Mika Hakkinen, though—taking both titles like that was something else.

Q-master said:Sometimes it’s just hard to put into words how much someone is pushing themselves, especially when you're talking about Michael Schumacher, who’s always been known for that relentless, aggressive edge.😁

Just so you know, they were already dangling contracts in front of Michael Schumacher last season, and even looking ahead to his life after Formula 1. It looks like once he finally hangs up the helmet, there’s already a seat waiting for him in the management ranks—probably some high-level executive role or something along those lines.

Q-master said:We’ve all had enough of his ego and his constant need to be the center of attention. Honestly, I'm just done with him.

I don't give a damn about what you find boring. 😛
