Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice?

Hi everyone!
I’ve read through most of this thread and done some digging online, but I could still really use your input.
About a week ago, I noticed some bleeding during bowel movements. It was likely triggered by infrequent movements followed by constipation (since I've been stuck at home for four weeks dealing with mono). There’s also been some itching. For a couple of years now, I've had a small growth near my anus—clearly a hemorrhoid. It never caused any pain or discomfort until five days ago. "It" isn't hard; it's just a pinkish bump that fluctuates in size.
There’s no pain when I go, just a bit of a "tugging" sensation.
For the last four days, I've been using an Ultraproct suppository once a day, but it hasn't helped yet.
Just to be clear, I know I need to see a doctor, but I'm honestly dreading it. I can't figure out if I have internal or external hemorrhoids. Usually, external ones hurt, but mine doesn't. Is it possible an internal one "prolapsed" outward two years ago and nothing else has changed since? Again, it isn't hard, it's a normal pink color, and it doesn't bother me.

PS Can someone explain what a swollen anal papilla actually is? Out of all the images I've seen online, mine looks the most like a swollen anal papilla.
