I’d also argue that people are just plain exhausted by charity requests lately; there’s this growing aversion to giving money away, even if it’s just a single dollar. I think the absolute dealbreaker is transparency—people need to see exactly how their money was utilized. That, in my opinion, is the most critical factor.

As for the part where I say "I like..." well, I’m sticking to my guns here... though perhaps I should try to clarify my point a bit better...

Imagine you're selling a car. I don't have the cash to buy it myself, so I won't go around telling anyone else that you're selling it. In the end, you won't sell the car because nobody will ever know it's on the market.

Now, imagine you're selling that same car. I still can't afford it, but I tell all my friends that you're looking to sell. Suddenly, someone is bound to pick it up, simply because those friends will keep spreading the word to their own circles.

I honestly think it's a mistake to underestimate the sheer power of information and its circulation. Even the top marketing experts will tell you that word-of-mouth is arguably the most potent marketing tool out there.

That is absolutely true; you have to spread the word. Posting a link on your Facebook wall, inviting people to join a group, and things like that. But that alone isn't enough—that’s the whole issue!

And I'll say it again: if you have internet access, you have $3.25 which you could use to send funds to, say, a child who is ill.😉

Hey everyone, even though there aren't many of you here 🙂

Speaking from experience, I’ve spent quite a bit of my time volunteering for various non-profits.
I also manage two different groups on Facebook, and both have had incredibly successful outcomes—we hit our fundraising goals and the surgeries went perfectly fine. 🙂 🙂

That said, I really can't get behind the idea that just hitting a "like" button is enough. I mean, surely we can all at least $3.25 chip in a little. Think about it: gathering 1,000 people into one group isn't exactly a Herculean feat, and if every single one of them contributes $3.25, well... you do the math.

And please, don't try telling me, "Oh, there's a recession, I can't afford it." If you're online, you're paying for it. We're all feeling the squeeze!
It stands to reason that anyone with an internet connection is shelling out at least $17 every month, so if you can afford $17... then you can definitely find a way to cover $3.25.

Honestly, nothing gets under my skin more than seeing someone post about how they're too embarrassed to donate $3.25 or whatever. Look, if you truly feel it's a waste, then go ahead—just round up five friends, have everyone pitch in $3.25, and get it done.

There are so many ways to help, so please, contribute however and however much you possibly can! 👍
Hello everyone.. I have a quick question for you all, does anyone happen to know which association in the US deals specifically with ectophilia?
I'm currently helping a family raise funds for their daughter's surgery, so I really need to connect with some people who can help.
If anyone happens to have any information or leads on this, please reach out to me.
