but I'm not so sure about that Silencer model; I'm currently running 350W and jumping up to this feels like too small of a leap. I'm worried if I add anything else down the line, the whole thing won't stay stable. I'd rather just go with a 500W+ unit and have that extra headroom just in case...
plus, you gotta think about future-proofing...
Picked it up thinking the power supply would be decent, but honestly, it's just not cutting it...
it’s definitely not some high-end gaming rig; maybe okay for a basic 3D title here and there, but that’s far from my priority.
It's just a standard home PC, and the absolute dealbreaker for me is noise—it has to be dead silent.
Anyone got some advice on which of these I should grab for my new build:

I'm looking for something decent (around $167) for this setup:
- 990x chipset
- AMD FX-8150 (8-core)
- 2x 4GB Patriot RAM 2133MHz
- ATI Radeon 6570 1GB
- 1 hard drive (7200rpm) + maybe adding another down the road
- DVD drive
- 5 fans running at minimum speed
Quality-wise, they all seem pretty much in the same ballpark, but the one thing they don't mention is the noise level.
I need something quiet enough to work late at night without any issues—just office stuff, browsing, etc.—so I don't want anything whining, buzzing, or clicking. And if I decide to hop into a 3D game, I shouldn't feel like a jet engine is taking off right next to my ear.
Up until now, I've been using an enLIGHT 350W; it’s built like a tank and actually quite reliable, but it keeps shutting down on me, so I've gotta sell it. I think it's finally hit its limit.
