I have an ASUS P5LD2 motherboard that allows FSB settings ranging from 100 to 450 MHz, with a multiplier of 20 on my Pentium D (2.66 GHz). The Stock FBI is set at 133, but during my first boot today, I saw a BIOS temperature of 53 degrees... is that even normal?! When I bumped the FSB to 166, I hit 3.2GHz, but temperatures climbed to 57. Since I can adjust the FSB by 1 MHz increments, does it actually make sense to hunt for some non-standard frequency between 133 and 166? Should I invest in a Core 2 processor or just buy a better cooler, or perhaps both? If so, which ones...

So, I guess upgrading to a Pentium D isn't worth it then??? (Had no idea it was such a piece of junk)
My PC is already struggling, so I thought I’d squeeze a little more power out of it, but it's sitting at 122 degrees Fahrenheit already, and the fans sound like jet engines...

How much overclocking can I actually squeeze out of a 2.66 GHz chip using just the stock cooler without touching the voltage?
