My dad is 74. He just had surgery a few weeks ago for a tumor where the small and large intestines meet. It was high, but non-malignant... Since he has heart issues, they spent ten days prepping him for the procedure. The surgery itself took about two hours. He spent ten days in the ICU, but he’s back in his regular room now. They've taken him off the IV, and he seems to be recovering slowly...

Hi everyone. To get straight to the point, my dad was just diagnosed with colon cancer. We still have a CT scan to go through and we're waiting on cytology results for more specifics, but... surgery is definitely on the table. I'm not from the local area and I want to... try to find him the absolute best surgeon possible for the actual procedure. Does anyone have any recommendations?
