Hey everyone, greetings. It’s me again. I found your advice helpful, so I plan on dropping by regularly from now on to see what's happening. My Grandpa’s condition is worsening every single day. He can't eat anything. We try to feed him through a straw, but even then, it’s barely anything. He has completely surrendered to this illness. I haven't seen him in two weeks since he was in Washington, D.C. He’s coming to Klenovnik tomorrow, and I’ll be going to visit him, but I’m terrified of the state I’ll find him in. My Grandma is absolutely devastated, and there’s nothing we can do to comfort her. She has dedicated her entire existence to him and doesn't think about herself at all. I know it's impossible right now, but she really needs to consider her own health and let others step in to share the burden of his care. We are all worried about him, but she carries the heaviest weight.
Grandpa is completely incapacitated. He’s had to start using adult diapers because he can't get out of bed, and that has hit him hard—he's incredibly embarrassed. It’s difficult for him to accept, though honestly, anyone would struggle being that dependent on others. Everyone who has seen him over the last two weeks says he doesn't have much time left. I don't know what the better path is. Should his suffering end for his sake and for those around him, or should he continue enduring this agony? His refusal to fight is the fundamental problem. He might have made it through another autumn if he actually wanted to fight, but he simply refuses to.
Stay brave, stay strong, and be compassionate toward your sick loved ones. May God send you people who will act as your support during these heavy times.
Carol Sanchez2, thanks. I wish you nothing but the best as well. We just have to accept whatever God has in store for us.
Trump, I really appreciate you. I’m truly glad I crossed paths with someone like you.
Hi everyone.
I’m glad I stumbled upon this thread. Everything was going smoothly in my family until two months ago—we didn't even realize how good things were until they changed. Two months back, everything hit the fan. My grandfather was diagnosed with lung cancer that has already metastasized to his liver. He has withered away so much in just eight weeks; I barely recognize him anymore. Up until now, he’s been receiving care at a specialized pulmonary center near Denver. But this week, he was transferred to a hospital in a smaller town outside of Chicago to undergo a procedure to stop fluid buildup in his lungs. Today, my parents sat down with his doctor, and the verdict was grim: he might make it until the end of the year, or in a best-case scenario, maybe another year. We are honestly just numb. I don't know what to do. Since they started admitting him two months ago, I had a bad feeling about this, and I've been mentally bracing myself. Now that we have actual news, I'm just stuck. How should we handle this? Should we start preparing ourselves and him for the inevitable? Or do we just keep living our lives as if we don't know what's coming in a few months? And how do you tell him? Does he even need to be told? I feel like he needs to know so he can prepare, especially since, based on some things he's said lately, I think he already senses what's coming.
I'm really grateful I found this community.

You really ought to see a doctor, because this doesn't look like a typical fainting spell to me. It doesn't necessarily mean something is wrong, but if you want to stop worrying about it, just get an exam. They’ll likely run some blood work. There's no need to panic.
