I'm not a student, I'm a teacher. 🤣 That’s why I can’t just ditch work at the end of the school year to drive from Miami up to Chicago. 😢 Man, if only I were nineteen again... thanks for the compliment, I guess. 😍
I’m honestly done with them. This festival being stuck on Tuesday and Wednesday is a complete disaster. The only people who actually benefit from this setup are folks living in downtown Chicago. I can't wait until I hit the jackpot and bring every major name in the industry to some lakefront spot near the suburbs on a Wednesday or Thursday. Then maybe people will realize what it's like to sit on a ten-hour bus ride just to end up waiting two hours in line for lukewarm beer and overpriced vouchers like we did at the VIP section last year (no shade to the local music fans, this is strictly aimed at the absolute failures running this mid-week festival). But hey, if Cave (saw them back in '94 in New York) and Radiohead are playing, I guess I don't care. Still, a total mess.
Pinkpop, Rock in the Park, all those June festivals—they happen early in the month, so why the hell didn't they just schedule this thing in July or like they did last year?
